Have you ever licked the bowl out when someone is baking?

What's the feeling in your family about the raw eggs included in the cake batter?
Do you still lick the bowl/beaters?

...well, Mom was always conscious of the potential danger in eating raw eggs. Ma would let us lick the spoon or beaters, sure, but only when there was no eggs in. Like, when making whipped cream or frosting or what have you.

I don't do much baking, myself-------------no spoons or beaters to lick. When I'm at home alone, I see no issue at all with licking a plate clean (makes doing dishes a lot easier), but that's not really the same thing.

That fascinates me... we grew up licking the batter from beaters and bowls. We also refrigerate our eggs... maybe that's the difference???

I used to when I was little & my mom baked.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"
