Hot Cross Buns
How do you like your Hot Cross buns?
Warm or cold?
Buttered? Jam/Jelly? Other additions?
With a drink?

Re: Hot Cross Buns
Plain is fine with me.
...I haven't had a hot cross bun in ages. It's been at least since high school.

Re: Hot Cross Buns
They're sweet buns, typically baked in 3×4 formation in a pan, crossed with white sugar icing.
...it's possible they're mostly a Catholic/Midwestern thing.

Oh hey, sounds pretty good. Warm with jam, then, and milk. Not picky with this kinda stuff though, I'd try it any way.

Re: Hot Cross Buns
The ones I've had have been a bit on the sour side; I don't know if that's intentional to emulate the downbeat of the crucifixion, or if it was just that the bakery my family got them from wasn't very good.

Re: Hot Cross Buns
We get fruit (mixed dried fruit baked into the sweet bread dough) ones, chocolate chip ones, and plain (no fruit, but still slightly sweet). I prefer mine lightly toasted with butter melting into it. I don't eat the choc chip hot cross buns at all.
