Um, Bush couldn't have gotten into Harvard because his father was an alumni. Can anyone guess why? :D

Because his father went to Yale. I've checked his background. H.W. Bush never went to Harvard.

Now, Dubya DID go to Yale, first, and you can argue all you like about how many Legacy points he got because of his father (if anyone can find out how many points they gave for legacy back then at Yale, let me know, so we can settle this. I know that now it isn't many).

But he got into Harvard on his Yale record, which wasn't half bad.

Let's face it. High school sucks, and some people don't take it seriously, and then come out when they go serious school, i.e. college. I bet a lot of you do, too.

Oh, and comparing Bush's record to Clinton's, this is how he stacks up, without bias:

Foreign Policy- Doesn't negotiate with rogue terrorists. Tends to insist on following through with the consequences included in each U.N. resolution, particularly with regard to third world nations.

Economic Poilcy- Has undone many government regulations on business. Several CEOs, who had been committing illegal activities in their businesses over the last decade were exposed early in the Administration. Following that, a recession, and a terror attack, his 'hands-off' approach is resulting in a rather unusually quick economic rebound.

Spending- Has dramatically reduced the amount of money available to Congress to spend on domestic issues by means of dramatic tax cuts and exorbitant foreign spending.

Reducing the size of government and attacking those hostile to our nation. That's just what Republicans DO. :D

Anyway, I just heard CNN mumble something about Bush and a poem.

And once again, the idiocy of partisan politics is exhibited.

Anti-Bushes: HARHRAHAR!11 TEH BUSH IS A DUMARSE FRO RITING A PEOM!!!11

Pro-Bushes: YUO SHUT UP!!11 TEH BUSH IS TEH GENOUS!11 CLINTON WSA TEH STOOPID!!11

Why can't anyone accept the fact that, whether you like him or not, Bush is STILL a human, and ALL humans have the right to a private life? And every time that Bush is bashed is NOT the chance to spew out false crap about Clinton. Let's put it this way:

- If you think Bush is stupid for choking on a pretzel or for writing a poem, you're an idiot.
- If you think Clinton did nothing for this country and was the only president to have an affair, you know nothing about politics...and you're an idiot.

Have a nice day.
YEAH! That's what I thought. Uhuh.

Bah. Al Bore would have been boring as hell if he was elected. And Bush is kinda funny to laugh at. Watch out, though. If Arnold becomes California's governor, Richard Simmons might run for president @_@

Clinton was a Rhodes Scholar...come on, the man was a political genius and managed to get elected twice and carry decent approval ratings.

Connections are everything. You're fooling yourself if you think that Yale was going to turn down an alumni's son (when the alumni and the alum's father happened to be ex and current politicians). Most politicians that come from political families did similar. Granted, most politicians weren't raging alcoholics and (alleged) cokeheads who then deny it.

Choking on a pretzel doesn't make you dumb and people didn't vote for Bush, Gore, Nader, or any other politician based on their poetry skills.

Bush served in the military? Sort of. He used connections to get pushed ahead on the waiting list for the national guard and was trained on an aircraft that was being phased out. He had a questionable record and basically was allowed to circumvent some of the rules and regulations...and not show up for a bit. Even with that said, do you even have any idea on how many young males between the ages of 18 and 25 were dodging or trying to dodge the draft between 1968 and 197x (can't remember offhand)?? Far too many. Bush (and Gore, and many others) just had connections since they were sons and grandsons of politicians.

Bush didn't do anything to expose corporate fraud, that was more the Stock Exchange and investors discovering the hard way that certain companies were running scams to boost their earning reports.

Reducing the money available, but increasing the tab. Aren't deficits fun? I wish states could run like that and actually afford to pay teachers.

Please, there are much better things to mock Bush about, like unemployments and deficits.

That would explain why he's ****ed up our military and left several countries laughing at the mere fact that he was even our president.

As it's been stated before, the president represents the public, and Clinton commited adultry several times, so what does that say for the Public?
Regaurdless of his morality, let's just look at the fact that through the majority of the years that Iraq was doing whatever they wanted, Clinton was president.
I can understand if you don't like Bush or think he's an idiot, but DON'T EVEN start praising Clinton's ass.

DB said it best. Bush is the only recent president that's tried to do more then get his **** sucked.

Why do we need a Cold War military force when there are no other major powers in the world? You don't. Bush has more countries laughing at us than Clinton ever did.

If you want to drag morals into it, how is a dumbass who had everything handed to him, be it a national gaurd appointment, a buisness or two, a baseball team, or an education and never had to work a day in his life better than someone who pulled themselves out of dirt? Please. Bush has put more coke up his nose than an 80s stock broker and has drank enough to make the late Johnny Cash like a sobriety poster child. Look at every major politician, they've all had affairs. Lets take Newt Gingrich...served his ex-wife divorce papers while she was battling cancer. Rudolph Guliani dumped his wife for his mistress. Presidential affairs that we know of: FDR, Kennedy, Taft, Jefferson, Washington, several other founding fathers, etc. Go to congress and the list is huge. Hypocrits. Oh, and it would be representative of about a little less than half of the American public (if you believe polls and stats about infidelity) and more than half if you go by divorce rates.

Better than denying 20 years of your life never happened...
