Re: What's your current typing speed?
Well, one of my roles at the mill requires a laptop for documentation and communication, and I generally fill that role twice a week.
Don't know my typing speed off hand. I do home row (had a typing class in sixth grade). Maybe 70 or 80 WPM?

Re: What's your current typing speed?
I only tested once a long time ago and I got 60 WPM, which I guess is above average if Google is anything to go by (which states 40 WPM is average). It mentioned 70 being productive speed though, so I'm assuming that's the minimum people actually consider proficient.
I'm sure with an optimal setup and some practice I could probably reach the mid-late 60 range.

Last August I got 82 on there. Right now, at 2:30am, about to pass out, I got 66.
