I really miss having banana smashed on toast. Do you like banana on toast?
What other fruits do you like on toast?

On regular toast I like any berry based jam, really. For French toast again any berries, but fresh.
I'm not too into bananas. They're edible but I wouldn't put them on toast, personally.

...I've never thought of banana mashed on toast. Maybe a toasted peanut butter jelly and bananner slammer?
I don't like toast all that much, is all. It's okay, but it certainly isn't the main event at breakfast. I like an omelette, some corned beef hash or hash browns, maybe some pancakes with maple syrup and sriracha.

^ I eat so boringly that it's always fun to read your culinary adventures. Pancakes and sriracha is very Boo of you, in an endearing way.

Sweet of you to say, honey bunny.
Sriracha and maple go great together. They're both so smoky and woody.

That does make a kind of sense, kinda of like that spicy Mexican fruit candy which isn't so bad (but sounds bad imo).

Me too, but not the heartburn they give me. I can't believe I used to have no problem with even the hottest foods, but now I'm at the mercy of candy...

Food in general makes you miserable once you crest forty, man. I'm a generic alka-seltzer man-‐----------you might prefer generic tums or generic pepto, but...really, whatever gets you through.

Yeah, food in general is getting to feel that way. Pepto tastes like a nightmare but it's fast and effective.

I love bananas on toast. Also various jams/marmalades/butters: blueberry, orange, pineapple, apricot, apple, cherry, grape.

I guess if I'm doing fresh fruit, probably bananas with peanut butter.

You know, just when you come to terms with one thing, another comes along. It stinks.I REALLY HATE POKEMON! wrote: ↑Sun Feb 05, 2023 5:56 pmYeah, food in general is getting to feel that way. Pepto tastes like a nightmare but it's fast and effective.
I had come to terms with the lactose thing. Like...I'll take Lactaid, or abstain from dairy. But these last few months citrus bothers me. Citrus! Orange juice is my favourite thing, and suddenly it literally hates my guts. I'm all, 'et tu, OJ?' (Ahahahaaa. Of course OJ wants to hurt me. OJ IS A MURDERER! Bam. Easiest joke ever. Self high-five.)

I don't what I'd do if I couldn't have dairy. It's so easy for a snack or to make something boring taste good. My friend can't handle citrus well either, you guys are among the few I've seen sensitive to it. You have my sympathy, sometimes a tangerine or cup of juice is refreshing.

Oh, I can drink all the putrid pom or apple or grape juice I want. Pour that disgusting crap down my gullet all day. But heaven only forfend I should want a glass of beautiful golden sunshine.

Re: What are your favourite fruits to have on toast?
I still enjoy sliced apple on toast, cream cheese and strawberries, and also yoghurt and slices of peach. I don't eat toast often, and usually I scrape a tiny bit of vegemite on it as a snack, rather than having it for breakfast.
