There is this game (three to be precise) that came out around 1996 and around there if I'm correct. The first chapter of the game, came in a cereal called Chex. This game came to be known as Chex Quest and it was free to make things better.
This game had two other counter parts, or sequels, released for it. The game, as stated in the title, was run of the Doom engine and of course, didn't have any blood. But when I saw this game on a topic on another site (http://www.starmen.net an Earthbound site) where I found out the game. This game is freeware and its three sequels. This game was suprisingly cool. Also, there was a fourth sequel coming out, but it was cancelled :( , and I decided to bring this game to you guys! I will post some pictures and the links to the downloads for you.
(Might have to copy/paste the the links)
And last but not least, the download links!

Also, the original site for Chex Quest has been shut down but the stupid Chex-type people. Oh well. Hope you like the game.
BTW, I reposted the topic here for those people who hardly go the Misc. Forum.
