What's the Dumbest Video Game Name You've Heard?

For me, "Beyond the Beyond". I'm sure somebody meant for that to be cryptic, like a bigger void than oblivion, but it sounds more like a stuttered tongue twister.

Live a Live. Granted, it's Japanese, so it might sound catchier in their tongue. But, to me, I can read it, but can't say it aloud. Is it "live" as is "living" or "alive"?

Followed by GoldenEye: Rogue Agent. I mean, wtf EA, you're trying to fool us into thinking it's as good as GoldenEye 007?

Dai --> big
katana --> variety of Japanese longsword

So... big sword. Sounds kind of stupid, still.

<Insert Perverted Thought>

"Wario Ware: Touched!" The last thing you want to say to people is "I got 'Touched' at Fred Meyers."

Wario Ware Touched reminded me of "Touch Dic", that DS dictionary tool, but I don't think it was ever released.

Final Fantasy - I don't see what is so final about eleven sequels.

Any game with the title "X of Y" as long as "Y" doesn't equal Zelda. -CSM

"Military Madness" is also pretty ridiculous.

At the time, Square Soft was going bankrupt. They could no longer make games. So, as their final game ever, they created Final Fantasy. However, the game was so vastly popular that it sold so many copies, it allowed them to come out of bankruptcy. Of course, with a game that popular, they had to make a sequel, thus making it have one of the most ironic names ever.

I'm pretty sure it went something like that.

That's what I heard. Although all those copies must've been in Japan, because I heard Final Fantasy (and RPGs in general) wasn't all that popular in America, and we didn't get the other two NES games until somewhat recently (Final Fantasy Origins for 2, just last year for 3).

We've been getting Final Fantasy for quite a while, actually, Codie, since the SNES titles. V was even slated for release under the title "Final Fantasy Extreme", I think, but was canned. Then VII came along and screwed it up a bit, since nobody knew how the numbers went anymore, IV being II and VI being III.

We also got the SaGa games renamed as the Final Fantasy Legend series and Seiken Densetsu as Final Fantasy Adventure, although I suppose by the original series on NES, then yes, we were screwed. Not that I and II were exactly great. III was very nice, actually, on the original NES.

"Kirby's Avalanche". Honestly, there isn't any snow in the game, let alone an avalanche.

Toejam & Earl.
BMX XXX.
Donkey Kong.

FF never sold in the US until they turned it into an interactive movie and Sony took over the publishing. If only Enix were smart enough to not believe Americans were too stupid to play RPGs, DQ would be a worthwhile franchise in the west as well, and they would have been the ones doing the buying.
