Zak, the thing with Jay's style is that each image loads seperately, so you can begin reading before the whole thing loads. Also, the individual panels are small, so they don't take too long to load. Your comic takes up one HUGE file, so it takes forever to load, and unlike Jay's style, you have to wait until the load's done. I can understand that you don't want to use the 4-panel format, but with what you're doing ,the "Jay" style would work best.

Well, it depends how you use the sprite comics.
if it is all pure sprites, everything, then maybe. but if you mix in your own style into it, like drawing wise, then it can be great.
an example of what I mean... http://members.lycos.co.uk/mmwcforum/mmwcforum/tp1.html See, to me, this style is not boring, and I think, quite original. and quite entertaining, if I do say so myself. it is very neat, good humor, and only some characters are sprites, and different pictures, and you can tell there was alot of effort put into it. ya, and that is all I have to say...

^Also the people who enjoy playing X-box.
EDIT: Actually, enjoying X-box is just a common trait of people that hate sprite comics, liking X-box, doesn't automaticaly make you a retarded idiot.
Sprite-comic wise, I'm actually a big fan of sprite comics. I think it's because the characters are usually familiar. I just like stuff like that, I guess.
Actually, NC comics uses made-up characters more often than video game characters, and it's one of THE BEST comics site on the net.* So I guess that it's really not that important, but it helps.
*The INTERnet if you want specifics.
-A Genius (And of the video game charactres, Mario appears most often of all! Isn't that crazy?)

I dunno. The reason why many people dislike sprite comics is because they think they don't take any effort. Of course this is true in some cases but just because it's a sprite comic doesn't mean it's automatically bad.
On a semi-related note what is it with people cosntantly bashing X-Box? It's not really that bad and even worse is stupidly generalizing everyone who has ever played X-Box as being ignorant, childish idiots who can't spell and believe everything some halfwit tells them. I know a lot of people who play X-Box who are very intelligent. They just like the games and you probably would to if you ever took the time to play the system rather than judging it immediately just because it's made by Microsoft.

I can name three VERY good sprite comics off the top of my head!
1. Neglected Mario Characters: Well duh! This is, after all, it's forum.
2. 8-Bit Theater: One of the best comics on the web. Period. It's one of the few comics that made it into the "Top Web Comics Hall Of Fame". It has to be good!
3. Bob and George: Just funny. No need for an explination.
Perhaps hand-drawers (people who hand-draw comics) are threatened by the sprite comics due to the growth of them recently. Also remember that sprite comics are close to being illegal, but if you read 8-Bit Theater's explanation of sprite comics, you discover that, under certain guidlines, they are not.
(P.S.: This is not an ad for other sprite comics, just an opinion. Flames will be put out of commision immediatly).

Now why would you look down here, anyway?
