No place is over-planted, All the trash is in the dump, and you have no weeds?

^There's your problem! There's a glitch in the game. If you dump trash, even in the dump, it resets the day counter to zero. Get rid of trash by giving it to Nook instead.

You go to Gamestop, root through the bargain bin, and hope it's there.

That's how you get Golden Axe, anyway.

there's a little trick that allows you to get the Golden Axe within one day(must be willing to time travel), I'll post it when i find it, it's here on my computer somewhere.
