How do you travel to other towns?

I paid off my entire house and stuff,etc. and when I talk to the that monkey guy (the one near the train station)he calls the train right, and when I get inside, instead of going to a different town, the game takes me to the title page. I mean what did I do wrong?

I have a 2nd memeory card, so then what do i do?
