I don't like/read Archie, so it doesn't matter to me if he's coming back. I'm glad he's in the new Anime, tho. ^_^

Actually,he didn't die,he dissapeared!!!If you play the final boss on Sonic Adventure 2 long enough and are playing as Shadow at the time,Sonic will warn you that overuse of your Superform will cause you to dissapear,so he really overused the super power by helping Sonic with Chaos control,and if you look closly,you'll see that Shadow is actually being sucked into that light!
P.S.They dont call me gamechamp for nothing!

I doubt the upcoming show will have an explanation. He'll probably just appear, andeveryone will act like they've never heard of him before.

The answer is simple.Sonic and Shadow did chaos control to the space colony,and Shadow must have givin most of his energy into the space colony,but used some to do it to Sonic too to save Sonic's life.In other words,he used more energy than Sonic to save Sonic!

ok MY theory why Shadow is DED!
When Shadow was falling into space, I DO think he used Chao Control BUT where would he go? You've seen that Chao Control makes Shadow much MUCH faster so he could get to Mobius(I call it Mobius, just with more advanced Mobians
)BUT I think that making himself faster would increase the speed of ring deiminish(decrease), so therefore making lose Super berfore he reached Mobius and die of air loss or no air ;P

dude.....then how the hell does rouge and knuckes breathe in space? or tails, eggman, or, even sonic? they all have levels in space where they are outs side of the ark in space
