Please try and reading the articles properly.
The first one dated April 12, 2002 is 50 million viewers a month!
The second one dated April 16 2002, says 3 million kids a week.
The 3rd article is also weekly.
The numbers are different but the underlining fact is that adults ARE watching the show. All articles have proven this and, furthermore, I ripped an article right off of Nickelodean's own website that says the same thing. Now why would Nickelodean put up uninformed news on their website? Answer me that.
And one more thing.. Kids are the focus of SpongeBob not Adults. Nick is catering to kids not adults. Adults are a fickle audience and aren't the focus demographic of Nick so they ultimately don't matter.
The article clearly says Nick-at-Nite and Nick Jr.
Nobody is arguing that Nickelodean is an adult network. Because for every adult that watches Nick there are 10 kids who do the same. All I've stated is that SpongeBob SquarePants (one particular cartoon) has an appreciable adult following. That's all I'm saying. Nickelodean says it, Nickelodean's CEO said it, the Times said it, The Los Angeles Times said it, the NY Post said it and CNBC said it.
THAT VIACOM ARTICLE IS NOT FOCUSING ON SPONGEBOB. It's focusing on NICKELODEAN THE NETWORK, NOT SPONGEBOB.
HOW CAN SO MANY INDIVIDUAL SOURCES BE SO MISINFORMED? ARE THEY ALL INCOMPETENT OR SOMETHING? AND HOW CAN THE CEO OF A COMPANY NOT KNOW WHAT HE'S TALKING ABOUT?
Doesn't matter how you nitpick at numbers, the word of a CEO is solid and so many sources can't be wrong.

I was referring to Nickelodean nimwat. Nickelodean is EXCLUSIVELY a kids network. GameCube is not exclusively a kids system. You just answered your own question. Whether you apply it to Spongebob or Zelda, you're all set.
