It maybe corny but it does make the sonic series slightly more interesting. For instance why did Dr. Robotnick turn evil and want the chaos emeralds. Is their memories in robotnick of being sonics friend. It sounds like it could have had a big story despite it's corny beginnings.

I figured out why Sonic is blue!! Sonic was made in Japan, need I say more...?

See my post: There was an accident with the ROCC (Retro-Orbital Chaos Compressor) that Dr. Kintobor was trying to use to contain all the chaos in Mobius so things would be nice for everyone (When will people learn that Chaos vs. Order is not the same as Evil vs. Good?). He wanted a snack while he was sitting at the control panel reading a Toejam and Earl comic, and asked Sonic to get him a hardboiled egg and a pop (hardboiled egg + soda? Wierd snack.), but he spilled the pop on the control panel while holding the hardboiled egg. The ROCC shorted out, exploding and spreading its 'containment rings' everywhere (hence the rings you have to collect), as well as somehow mixing Dr. Kintobor with the hardboiled egg, turning him into Dr. Robotnik, who for no apparent reason hates Sonic like nobody's business. (It also flung the Chaos Emeralds all over the place.)

I already knew Sonic was originally brown, but then I thought...'PUNK ROCK' it would make sense, but I wouldn't think Sonic would be a 'punk' kinda person to be honest.

Naturally blue just doesn't make sense to me. And a birth disorder just sounds wrong.
