(Advance, actually. Not that it makes much of a difference)
It was pretty easy (I probably over-leveled, but eh) up until Sabin comes in. This part has been a bit more of a challenge, mostly because Blitz commands hate me.
Basically I've tried pressing ><>A at every speed and time I can think of only to see "Incorrect Blitz Command" and 5 Game Over screens. I tried looking at a guide, and that said to press A><>A.
"Incorrect Blitz Command".
Is there some secret time I have to press the buttons at?

I had this exact problem, and kept trying it off and on for over a year, I just got it one day, after looking at a tutorial that didn't really help much.
I used to think it was a glitch in the game, I must've tried it at least 30 times. After that I thought that I wouldn't use sabin much, now he's my best character.
Exactly what you do is
put the arrow over blitz, hit "a" once, then just put in <>< then "a" again to confirm the command, it should work.
Also, as far as difficulty, don't worry, it'll get up there.

So basically you are saying you need to spend more time playing Gundam Battle Assualt and King of Fighters.

I ran in to the same problem too; didn't realize you have to press confirm to start the blitz command. =/

I thought you had to press A when the little hand came up. That would explain all those repeated failures.

You do have to press A when the cursor is pointing at Sabin. Everyone screws that up the first time they play. If you have any other questions, I'm here. -CSM

Yeah, Aurabolt is easily his most valuable Blitz for a while, though I prefer the "older" twin brother. :P
I'll be checking this topic. I hope you love the game.

The only part I don't like so far is how frequent the Ultros fights are. Three times in two hours.

Ian, my advice to you is to cherish the Opera scene. It's a great scene with the best music in the game.

My friend was playing this game on an emulator and got the Bum Rush down to an art. He's use it in every battle, and Sabin was his favourite character. When I told him that Gogo can mimic the Blitz command, he had a look in his eyes, like a kid in a candy store.
It was like how playing Katamari Damashii changes how you organize the world in terms of size, to be rolled up. In this case, everything around him looked so...
bum rushable.

I still have the original Final Fantasy III instruction book which was cluttered with incorrect translations and even moves that I couldn't figure out how to get.

Correct translation =/= good translation all the time. In the case of a lot of these games, it was worse. See CTDS "Master of Kitchens." I think I said this a million times already. -CSM
