Am I the only one other than Auron that thinks this game and/or its sequel are awesome?

They're good. Doesn't really inspire awe, though. Maybe it's because I played it wrong, or something.

I liked the Djinn attach/release mechanism, though. Thoroughly enjoyable, to be sure.

Ninja Ivan, need I say more. So I do, the music and graphics were both astounding for a hand held system and still make many DS and PSP games look bad in comparison.
(Still can't touch the NEO GEO's Hand Drawn though)

The original was good, I played in until I had found absolutely every item in the game except the 'Aura Gloves' but the second gives you a boat, which means I got hopelessly lost in and really never played again.

Yeah, I know; even though you get the boat, you still get attacked while riding it. =\

I got lost. I didn't play it for long periods each sitting; by the time I got my bearings, I got attacked, like, a brazillion times.

I've only played the original. I have fond memories of my mom telling me to stop playing it at a resturant while I'm fighting the final boss, me saying, "Let me just finsh this battle.", then K.Oing it in the next hit. Good times. I burrowed it from a friend.

It was an okay game. Just your typical, "Save the world!" turn-based RPG. I did like the summons, though. I abused those.

The summons in the second game were godly. If you don't think Catastrophe is amazing, than go away:

I liked the Megara summon more. It's just cooler.

It kind of sucks that it's essentially one game for the price of two, though. =\

^You could say that about any game witha direct sequal though. You still got two full length games.

I guess Megara was cool too. Iris was also awesome. Who doesn't love blasting their enemies into the sun? Too bad that it requires so many djinn to use and by the time you get it, you won't need it anyway. My favorite summons would be like this:

1) Catastrophe
2) Iris
3) Eclipse
4) Megara
5) Coatrl
6) Atlanta
7) Azuru
8) Daidarose
9) Judgement
10) Tiamat

That's pretty much based on how kickass they look, not how effective they are.

Well, yes. When you have a direct sequel, you need to buy the next game to finish it. This is especially heinous with the .hack series. But, seriously, when I finished the first game, I was all, like, "What, that's it? Nothing was resolved!"

It's a money making tactic. Besides, I'm not sure the GBA cartridge was big enough to contain one huge Golden Sun game. But yeah, I understand where you're coming from here.

Holy crap, that's awesome.

I just noticed how good the graphics look, for a some-what early GBA game.
