My first was actually Zelda I and II, but I was too young to understand them. I played Mario RPG when it came out, but I didn't even know what RPG meant, nor did I know the genre existed. My first RPG that I actually comperhended with was Final Fantasy Mystic Quest, which is why I still cherish that game to this day.

SMRPG... i remember playing it for the first time and thinking that the game was over when i beat bowser. i was going "man, this game sucks, its so short!" ah memories...
