In the NES and the SNES era, there were practically a thousand text Based Battle system RPGs. But now with new systems like the GBA, GCN, Xbox, and PS2, you either attack without battle scenes or see the party members and enemies attack. So have we seen the last of the Text based battle system RPGs? (Golden sun dosen't count because you see everyone attack and the enemies move)

 No. I mean the ones where it says:

Ana tried PK freeze. Starman Suffers Damage of 28 That's what I mean! And the RPGs like Dragon warrior, where the enemy just stands there like a stone statue and you see it from the Hero's point of view.

^Yes it does, but after playing Pokemon Stadium (Which almost Ruined the series judging by how bad it was), you'd expect a Final Fantasy battle system like RPG when you play Pokeon Advance. It's Going to be like the old school games.

Magi Nation is not included because you see the enemies attack like Pokemon, and it shows the Amount of damage done to a Dream creature or Magi. (Besides, what if my Deep Hyren uses Drown on one of two DarkVellups? Which one sufferd?) And in Magi Nation, you can use up to 4 dream creatures at once. Bringing the grand total of allies on your team up to 5.

That's not what I meant. The ones where you don't see the characters in battle, Like Dragon Warrior 2 for instance. In FF1, you see your characters walk forward, and hit the enemy some how when their 10 video Game feet away. In Final Fantasy legend, the only time you see your characters in battle is when you're deciding your moves, same with legend 2 and 3, and in 3, you see your characters move forward about 2 game steps and a weapon twice the size of them appears and attacks the enemy, who is about 3 times their size.

I say meh. Who really cares? Text-based RPGs are dead because nobody would by a 128 or even 32-bit RPG where the people stand still. There would be a huge uproar in the gaming community and the company who made it would go belly-up faster than an internet buisness that nobody looks at.
