Here's an unfotunately legit answer to our most burning question

The question is "Where is Chrono Break?"
Well, the people involved in Chrono say that they really, really want to make a Chrono game, but they only want to do it if they get access to the Dream Team which is what made Chrono Trigger such a great game. They don't want to pull a Final Fantasy and make a ton of crappy Chrono games. They want a Chrono game that is perfection, and they want the right people to authorize it. The problem is Akira Toriyama (who did the artwork for Chrono Trigger) is being very selfish now and won't come back. And many of the higher ups at Square (Tetsuckya Nomorea, Yoshinori Kitatse), want to milk the FFVII cash cow, and won't let the Chrono team get back together (both did actually contribute to both Chrono games a bit).
This is why I may boycott Square for Mistwalker. Somehow I hope Square sells the rights to CT to Mistwalker and we'll actually get a company that understands what the Chrono series is worth. -CSM

**** Square **** Square **** Square
Anyway, just curious, but do you have a source/reference for this? Just in case I felt like reading more, for the times when I feel like getting angry at the world.

It's really kind of sad that the game industry climate doesn't really allow for dream team development. I mean, imagine that every five years the best of the best assemble and pump out an awesomesauce game.

It doesn't say anywhere akira's being selfish about his artwork...but that he works for square and is busy with the final fantasy series as well as others being involved on secret of mana 4. It's their choices to work on other projects so don't get mad at square for saying that. Even then, how would you be able to make a sequel to chrono cross?????

^ Easy. You don't. You make a sequel to Chrono Trigger.

Jay, this is someone who thinks corporate rights come before human rights, and is someone who thinks we should never be allowed the media we want. Never listen to a thing WvW says. -CSM

Well, I believe that although the dream team is already together again on a different project (I have no idea how many of you are gonna buy Blue Dragon, but it looks good to me), you're absolutely right: CT needs an effing sequel already! And, as said before by many of us, Chrono Cross really does not count. As long as we must jones for s'more of that time-traveling action, I guess the best we can do is hope for what CSM said: Mistwalker gaining the Chrono rights. I don't think it will likely happen in the immediate future, but it damn well batter happen eventually.
Also, Tetsuckya seriously needs to leave FF7 alone. He drew a bunch of craptastic pictures for it. Big deal. Amano is STILL better.
Anyway, I'd like to see some FF games from the original dream team as well, but the former masters have left with a vengeance to do better stuff. Too bad, because I recently re-listened to the FF9 soundtrack and thought "Man, this series is NOTHING without Uematsu's compostions."
Anyway, back on subject: I say we launch a bomb threat on Square. Unless they give me another good Chrono game or a Radiata Stories sequal, the bomb shoved up Nomura's ass will explode, scattering the pixies and rainbows he's made of everywhere.

Hey, not all FF games are bad.
FFIX, for instance.

Yes, yes, and we all know how much I utterly love that game. I've always believed that the series's good games are as follows:
FF1
FF2
FF4
FF6
FF9
Okay games are as such:
FF8
FF3
FF7
FF12
FF5
And just-didn't-do-it-for-me are as follows:
FF10
Opinions may vary.
