The whole game creeps me out.
First of all, it's on the PS3, which I won't buy until I see about three to five price drops. Second, it takes place in a futuristic world. This isn't what FF should be. -CSM

It was bad enough when 7 went technological on our asses, but now it's set in the future? Bad, Square, bad. I thought the direct sequels would kill them, but this may really blow them apart.

I hate these sorts of stories. They always are predictable.
There's obviously some hidden meaning to the cocoon, some crazy people trying to use it to destroy everyone, then somehow the whole thing will get out of control when one person eviler than the rest disregards protocol and starts killing people. Insert the lead of the game, who fights them, and they fight back and forth, but in the end the cocoon is destroyed and the game ends with the bad guy either failing an attempt to seize the secret power or turning out to be good and sacrificing his life against some pointless secret real villain.
While this can't be too accurate, I have to point out that the usage of some world-controlling thing causes that thing to become the most important thing, even over other characters. The whole God Emperor saga of Dune, for example, was nearly entirely about the emperor and his whole insane way of keeping the world under his thumb. Unless they're brilliant, amazing, unheard of storytellers, this sounds to be pretty formulaic to me...
But it's on the PS3, so I couldn't play it if I wanted to. X_x

I bet the relationship between the blond guy and the female protagonist is that they are incestual siblings.

Hmm. I can't exactly see people of, quote, "modern" civilization weilding swords and casting magic.
Then again it's a whole diferent world in a frickin' bubble, I mean who are we to produce a game that's not weird?

Contenders, ready!
Lightning? Is she a former Gladiator?
If the name of the lead male is Wolf or Trojan I'm going to laugh my arse off.

With bad voice acting by John Travolta! (Another reason not to buy this; don't wanna contribute to Scientology's plot to take over the world). -CSM

But John Travolta is actually somewhat likeable, unlike his more famous Scientologist counterpart.
Of course, he's always overshadowed in any movie he does that's actually good.
