Favorite RPG Classes?

#1

Post by Cysma » Thu Sep 21, 2006 8:18 am

This topic can be about your preferred class in a specific game, or favorite class in general, whether it be a video game RPG, MMORPG, or an old-fashioned pencil and paper RPG.

Personally, I choose to play the Paladin class whenever it's available. They're the do-good crusaders out to fight evil and help old ladies across the street. They're often good fighters that can heal themselves with magic!

I am playing a human paladin character in WoW, and once made a human paladin in Dungeons & Dragons named Cecil Harvey.

Anyone who tributes Cecil gets a good score in my book.

I enjoy Paladins and Dragoons mostly. -CSM

Rogues, thieves, assassins, sometimes archers-- anything with stealth involved.

I'm a fan of Clerics and Necromancers. Paladins are fun too, especially when you're a jackass in real life. My latest paladin was a male gnome named Gale Lakor. Yes, I know that Gale is often used as a female name. But then again, should it matter?

Hehe. I like Paladins too and started as one when I started out playing WoW. I gave up though and now I'm more interested in being a healer, or a blood crazed, huge sword wielding, berserking warrior.

What a coincidence, Val! My WoW character is a male human Paladin, but I am far from giving up on him, though when the realm he was on went down, I made a Night Elf Warrior I play from time to time.

Anyways, to those who are interested in meeting me in WoW, at the time I am posting this, I am on the Alexstraza realm as a level 34 Male Human Paladin named Cysma, and on the Sentinels realm as a level 18 male Night Elf Warrior named Dezar.

Just tell me who you are known as on VGF.

Blue mage. Or an effects wizard.

I like to be able to do non-combat stuff as well as beat up monsters.

Blue Mage, no question. Closest thing to a Kirby.
White Mage gets second place. I <3 healers!

How about Calculators? They're pimp. Red Mages are probably my favourite, though. Doublecast is awesome, and the hats are fabulous.

Summoners.

Once I learn Bahamut, all of you will wish you picked a class with 1d12 Hit Dice.

Holy Bump batman!

I've liked some more unique classes. Sometimes the hybrids were pretty good, but I dislike hybrids who wind up getting pigeon-holed into one specific role. (World of Warcraft, I'm looking at you.) Sometimes classes like the Sorcerors in Final Fantasy V (And Steiner if Vivi's in the party) or paladins.

All that is the Monk. Brawlers in Disgaea [crazy counter rates] and in Final Fantasy Tactics [save money on equips, get crazy counter as well].

Also, spellcasters. Area-of-effect pwns, like Storm Gust in Ragnarok Online.

I need new words.

Oh yeah, Ninjas are also pimp. Double sword and ludicrous speed are... pimp.

Ninjas, definitely, as well as black mages.
