Magic seems the same in the medieval settings of the early Final Fantasies as in the more technological versions of late. Shouldn't they have found something more powerful than magic by then?

JESUS CHRIST, I can't believe it. I mean, I don't even BELIEVE in stuff like that, and I'm shotuing it! RPGs always take place in a world where there is no temperature, so you're as warm in a wool sweater as in the nude! Everybody knows that!
