Final Fantasy Dissidia was a fun game with an interesting 3-D battle engine that actually seemed to have worked, it was an epic battlefield that allowed quite a lot of free movement, and despite this freedom, offered a targeting system that made using moves quite easy, really.
However, I noticed during the storyline there were quite a lot of allusions to fights that could have been 2 on 1, Garland and Ultimecia vs Squall, Cloud and Onion Knight vs Cloud of Darkness, Cloud of Darkness and Kefka vs Terra. However during actual gameplay, both storywise and normally, there is no ability to have a 2 on 1 or a 2 on 2 fight.
My question is, with how complex and successful the battle engine was, should have and could have Square set up Dissidia to offer a multiplayer battle of 2v1 or 2v2 matches?
Should have Dissidia have had a Multiplayer Mode?
