The first was a great game, I enjoyed it very much. I never got to finish the bonus dungeon you get after beating the game though...

I disliked the sequel. Art direction was poor, music was bland, gameplay was butchered, and the characters were uninteresting. I also got stuck early on in the game and decided to quit. Very disappointing IMO.

I hope a third comes and blows them both away.

I played both and enjoyed them. I definitely think the Georama in the first game was better, but the second one fixed the two major flaws in the first game: when your weapon breaks you don't lose it, and the stupid Thirst system is abolished. But those Item and Monster Transformation medals....

The plots, well, they sucked. Both of them. But the plots don't suck bad enough to make the game unenjoyable (that's what FFX-2 is for :D ) -CSM

I actually enjoyed parts of X-2; I just didn't think it was really the spirit of a true FF game (lest of all a sequel to X; they may well have just made that stand on it's own with it's own characters).

Yes to both. I didn't think the plots were that bad. (Although these does make me think of a good topic.) I love the weapon system. Although Spheda(SP?) is the biggest waste of mini game. Ridepod rules.

Broken weapons and thirst keeps a realistic balance in the game. So much excessive physical activity and weapon usage coming with a price makes sense.
