Trivia:
--Released in April 2019, 3 years & 4 months after PM shut down, & 4 months after the release of Ultimate, the 3rd new version of Smash since Brawl.
--Introduces Knuckles as a playable character.
--Includes a variety of new stages.

Just...ponderous. At the very least, I can't say the dev team doesn't have big brass cojones.

Project+ has a somewhat interesting development since it's technically a fork of Legacy TE (which is in turn a fork of Legacy XP, which is of course a fork of Project M. Lots of forks on the table here). Legacy TE was a mod which added tons of new content to PM 3.6 like stages, features, and QoL changes, but left the roster and game balance unchanged as it was designed to be a tourney-friendly build that could still be played alongside vanilla PM.

P+ took the LTE base but added balance changes that many people in the community were wanting, as the PM 3.6 was several years old at this point and people wanted some of the jankier strategies to be addressed. The mod ended up getting fairly popular, as the big 2.0 update landed right around the time the quarantine started and many people were looking for ways to pass the time indoors.

Also Bowser has a projectile in P+. That's something.
