The Chronicles: Part two, Rise of Power

OoC: Yes, I have finally gotten around to making the sequel to my story topic. I was planning on posting it a few days from now, but as June 10th was the day the original was posted, it seemed like a good idea to start it on the day it was first made; the 'anniversary', if you will. Anyway, now it begins...

~Prologue - Ascension from Darkness~
--------------- ----------------
Kael grinned in anticipation as Slife and Kirbyking charged at her again from both directions at once, their blades glinting off of the flickering lights. The room was pretty much trashed by the weapons and tactics of the warriors. Computer consoles dented in, glass and silicon littering the floor, crunching under their feet as they had fought. Most of the lights were out, and by the slow rise of the heat in the room, she guessed that one of them had damaged the air conditioning. Forcing that note aside, she brought her halberd mace down before her, smashing the slash staff into the ground, its spinning blades digging gouges along the reinforced steelcrete flooring. Her sword was thrust behind her, ricocheting Slifle's blade aside into a chair. As it stuck, she kicked his arm off the hilt with one hit, forcing him to stumble backwards with a second. As he stood dazed for a moment, she turned her attention to KK, who was slowly forcing his staff upwards from under hers. As she pushed it back into the ground, whirling edges jamming against axe-blades, her cochlear implants caught the sound of Slife grabbing his sword off the ground and charging her as quietly as possible.
Grinning with malice, she let go of her staff and leapt upward, her boot catching the staff and throwing it into KK's face, stunning him. Slife, surprised, smashed right into KK, barely avoiding impaling him with his sword. As they both fell into a heap, she landed behind them, giving a slight chuckle as she picked up her staff.
"I could do this all day," she mused to herself as she turned to see who would attack her next. She saw Crater Moon at the other end of the room, preparing to fire a magic attack, when a blaring alarm cut through the din of sparking machines and whirring electronics.
"Warning. Warning. Universal Constructer Power Core's automatic cooling systems damaged. Primary and Secondary Saftey Interlocks disabled. Power overload imminent. Detonation in approximately thirteen minutes. All personell evacuate immediately."
"D*mn," she cursed to herself. The Universal contructer used massive amounts of power drawn from the core of the small planet. With a core breach, the entire planet would split open like a bananna if it detonated. "No time to play with these guys anymore..."
As Crater stopped, confused by the sudden warning, Kael darted towards him faster than greased lightning. She leapt up, and just as Crater turned back to see this new turn of events, he caught a boot in the face. As it hit, Kael used this collision as a springboard to shoot her over the now falling warrior, and towards a large metal door. She smashed through it, and shot down the hallway. In the width of three seconds, she had dissapeared. As the warriors rushed to Crater, Luigi helping him up, they turned towards the metal door.
"Lets get after her!" rallied Kirbyking, spurring them after their nimble opponent.
--------------- ----------------
The freight elevator reached the top of the shaft just in time for them to spot Kael's ship soaring out of the large hangar bay, followed by two transport craft. A third was being loaded up with scientific supplies, guarded by six assaut droids. As they turned towards the group, rasing their blasters, they were cut down by a quick barrage of magical attacks and weaponsfire.
"Seven Minutes Remaining," was the last the group heard of the voice as the landing ramp shut and sealed, and they shot over the terrain towards where Lucius's ship was concealed. Soon afterwards, the group shot away from the surface of the planet. Inside the abandoned laboratory, A lone voice droned to itself.
"Final warning to personell. Five seconds remaining."
"Four. Three. Two. One."
"Countdown comp-"
--------------- ----------------
In the Nuclear Warhead, the commanding officers sat patiently, waiting for any responce from the team. A mere luitenant turned towards the admiral, who sat in his chair, rubbing his chin thoughtfully.
"Sir, should we send an investigative team? None of them have reported back." He said quietly. The admiral turned towards the lower officer.
"Be patient. If they're in trouble, they'll give us a sign."
Then the planet exploded.
It wasnt a massive explosion, nor even an engulfing explosion. Nay, the planet visible shuddered, then seemed to simply crack apart. The northern continent snapped off the main peice, crumbling apart under the force of the underlying blast, bulging open under the stress. As the oceans evaporated, the magma that seeped through the broken peices froze instantly as chunks of the crust, forced away from the planet under the pressure, dissapated the atmosphere with their passing. As the rest of the planet shuddered under this force, the surface frosting over rapidly as all heat instantly dissapeared, the Liutentant turned a shocked gaze towards the Admiral, who was wearing a similar expression.
"Does that count, sir?"
--------------- ----------------
Lucius stood in his quarters about his personal ship, the Black Hole, staring out at the stars. Kael had escaped from Darth Bowser's fleet, and was now somewhere in the galaxy, plotting her next move. He sighed; She would return one day, to get her revenge.
"Thinking?"
He turned, to look at the voice. Luigi, who was the only other person on board his ship, had quietly entered the room from behind him. He sighed, and nodded.
"Yes. Just wondering about what the future holds."
"You miss her, don't you?" He grimaced, wondering if he actually did. However, he suddenly shook off the thought, as some clarity came to the situation.
"I miss my sister, yes. However, my real sister is dead. The shell that the scientists used is only that; a shell of her body, filled with memories but with nothing attached to them. Her personality, the soul inside of her that made up who she was, died long ago. Whatever has occupied her, despite her looks, voice, and even memories, will never be my sister."
"So what you said before was true, back in that facility?"
"Yes."
"Well, now that she has gotten away from us, do you think It will be over? Will she simply hide from us, now that her identity is revealed, and with no way to attack us on a major front?"
Lucius stood for a second, staring out at the streaks of light from passing stars, before slightly turning towards the other.
"No."
And with that, they both were silent.

Four Years Later
--------------- ----------------
Lucius grinned, looking over the dusty shops and buildings lining the streets as people darted from place to place, everyone seeming to have something to do or somewhere to go. His white cape slowly drifted behind him as he strolled down the walkway, glacing casually from shop to shop, ignoring the surprised glances that looked over his outfit, which stood out from the dusty browns and reds that was the normal garb of the planetary denizens. Corven VII, a planet comprised of mostly plains, was his current locale; It had slowly evolved into the bustling cityscape that it was now, and had done so rather successfully. It was now known throughout the galaxy as one of the best makers of technology around. Lucius had arrived there only out of need of such technology; His ship had been damaged badly, and required a new weapon controller chip. So, he had arrived, seeking one of the best computer-designers in the galaxy; one of the few people who could make such a chip. However, as he continued strolling along, looking for the shop he seeked, he was stopped by numerous sounds coming from around a bend before him. The smash of stone walls being burst, the countless yells of panic from the crowds of people, which rapidly turned to run from whatever was causing havoc, and the roar of some inhuman creature. He glanced up and down the street; He could see no policing units in sight. Sighing, he reached up and grabbed his sword from it's hilt. "I guess it's up to me alone, he thought, weaving through the crowd and dashing around the corner.
What met him around the corner was staggering. He stopped, frozen in his tracks, by what met him. "It couldn't be... The last time I saw one of those was almost four years ago!". Standing in the wrecked walls of the shop he had been seeking, clutching some unknown device in it's fist, was a gargantuan wolf-man, almost exactly the same to the one that had attacked him and his allies outside of the Military base where he had found Kael. However, as he shook himself out of his mental shock, the creature turned to spot him. Roaring in suprise at the newfound arrival, it turned to escape down the street. Lucius would have no such thing. Raising his sword, he charged up some energy into his sword, and fired a beam of red light towards him quarry. As it hit the creature in the back, it roaded in pain as it cut right through it, burning off skin, bone, and muscle tissue in an instant. It fell to the ground, defeated, the machine it carried rolling away from it's corpse. Lucius did not look into the shop, it's owner most certainly dead, as evidenced by the blood visibly coating the deamon's claws. Instead, he turned towards the machine it had once carried. Crouching down and picking up the machine, he was at a loss to what it was. However, as he pondered it's usage to his nemesis, he was startled by more screams down the road. Glancing up, he saw hundreds more of these creatures, aswell as some others that he could not identify from this range. They were apperantly searching for the technology that this one had found. Not wanting to meet and greet the small army, Lucius turned and ran back down the road, back towards his ship...
--------------- ----------------
Back in the Black Hole, and currently en route away from the planet, he took a look over of the machine. It was a small cylinder, about the width of a soda can, but twice as long. One side had a clear panel, looking into a large mass of circuit boards and wires. He had no idea what it was, but he knew that there was more than one expert in electronics in the galaxy. He turned to one of the control panels in front of his and quickly typed in a request for information. In seconds, a holograpic image superimosed itself in front of the veiwscreen, showing just one other name than the recently deceased Mastercraftsman.
"Garroth Huges - Thitus III"
[I}"Hmm. This isnt good. She probably has sent some of her troops to get at him as well. And if not, she will be sure to, as she knows her first plan failed. She probably knows someone is onto her, and is probably sending people after me as well. I'll need some help in finding out what she is after..."[/i]
And with that, he quickly wrote up a message and sent out out across space...
--------------- ----------------
OoC: Anyway, just join by posting your responce to his message, and going to meet Lucius at Thitus III... or whatever =P. Also, ignore any spelling errors/etc. Stupid Wordpad doesnt have a spellchecker.
