Bobbo stood high, very high, surveying the land between him and the Fangorn forest. He was, in fact, in Helm's Deep, and so was most of his army. Now, Bobbo did not have a ragtag band of individuals, saved only by Gandalf and the grace of the elves, but he, in fact, had a powerful army consisting of thousands upon thousands of trained men, dwarves, elves -- even hobbits! Of course, the latter were usually used for spies, but there were some hobbit warriors in his army, and some brilliant hobbit officers who had saved many a battle. This army had fought many times under Bobbo, and always had emerged victorious. This battle was rearing up to be the toughest one yet -- but they were confident. Bobbo was a spirited sorcerer, as well as an excellent swordsman and marksman, and he was the greatest leader possible.

"I fear a tough battle, Drogan." Drogan was Bobbo's second-in-command, and as great a tactician as Bobbo himself. "There are many armies massing in the distance near Fangorn forest... could they have discovered it also?" Drogan shook his head. "They have no idea, sire... none at all. Merely a coincidence, certainly... but this is quite a BAD coincidence. Can we take them?"
Bobbo stared over the great distance again. "I don't know..."

Deep in the catacombs of Helms Deep, the warriors of the darkness were silent. These, of course, were Bobbo's men; and they were sleeping. There were approximately 10,000 of each race, except hobbits -- there were 4000 of them. Most of the hobbits were out gathering information at the time, however, so the hobbit forces were greatly reduced. Suddenly a horn sounded, long and clear, through the caves, and all of the men of the army leapt up and marched to the center of Helm's Deep, where Bobbo, Drogan and the other officers waited. "All you fine men, you strong dwarves, you elegant elves, you sneaky hobbits, prepare for battle!" shouted Bobbo. "For soon, armies of mass shall be marching towards us, as an assault already has been made against them. Indeed, watch..." Bobbo waved his hand in the air, and suddenly a massive screen appeared. "Behold!" Bobbo chanted, and a massive army appeared on the screen, being watched by several wolves. Suddenly, the sky turned dark. The armies looked around in alarm, and if Bobbo's forces turned slightly, they could see the darkening skies with their own eyes instead of magic ones. Massive boulders began falling from the sky, crushing several soldiers and a good number of trees. Suddenly, Bobbo laughed, a long, deep laugh, and the armies on the screen looked about in alarm. "You have been given a taste of my power. Leave the forest now, or face the wrath of the Alliance of Darkness! If you're feeling particularly suicidal, you can march on over to Helm's Deep, where we will cut you up like pigs in the slaughterhouse. Your decision." The Alliance of Darkness all laughed deeply, and the amplified magic voices being heard by the other two armies were loud. And as the alliance of darkness looked on to Bobbo for instruction, and as Bobbo's image appeared in the air above the other armies, if one looked hard enough, a familiar band of gold could be noticed on Bobbo's right ring finger...

The screen disappeared, and Drogan asked Bobbo, "Do you think that the armies will leave?" Bobbo simply laughed. "No, I don't. They'll come and attack Helm's Deep... where they'll find you, along with 6000 elves, 6000 dwarves, and 6000 men." Drogan looked confused for a moment. "But where will you and the other 12000 be?" Bobbo simply grinned, slowly but surely. "In a place that the armies of mortals dare not speak of... in a place where the ultimate power is lying dormant... in a place called Barad-Dur... awakening the Beast, the one true power, and all its Minor Beasts that it controls." And it was thus that Bobbo shouted out, the air rang with a magical chant the likes of which have not been heard for ages, the mountains trembled, the forests shivered... and the Beasts of old woke again, with Bobbo commanding them from the high mountain fortress of Barad-Dur.

Bobbo, a familiar golden ring glowing on his ring finger, stared at the troops of the pathetic enemy. "Drogan, do you see what I see?" Drogan stared. "I see massive armies of Ents, forest creatures and men, milord." Bobbo slowly nodded. "You do? I see insects." Bobbo then walked up to the long, strong wall of the Helm's Deep outer wall. Using the ring, his voice was amplified, and he could shout out to the entire opposing alliance. "I do not wish to destroy your forest, Ents, creatures of the woods. I merely wish to... utilize some resources. We can surely work out some form of a truce. As for you, men... stand in my way and you will be crushed like the insects you are. For you see..." and at this point, he whipped his right hand into the air. "...I am the chosen succesor for the One Ring, the Ring of Power, and I am invincible!" Belgarion shouted "I will NEVER yield any power to you, fool!", and Repster and Lady Leona nodded a stunned agreement. Bobbo simply shrugged. "So be it," he announced, and then a bright flash of light, starting from the Ring, blasted out into the plains, blinding all of the pitiful Forest Alliance.

Once the light cleared... the alliance of the Forest was no longer alone. Standing not 100 yards from the furthest of the alliance was the foreguard of a massive army of Orcs... and this wasn't just any foreguard. No, standing at the legion's beginning were 5 Balrogs... and they looked very menacing. These were backed up by platoon upon platoon of Uruk-Hai, which in turn had thousands and thousand of Orcs behind it. Belgarion gulped... and with almost perfect timing. The second after he gulped, the entire army began to speed towards the Forest Alliance at a supernatural speed... and then the battle began.

Balrogs cut through men, wolves and ents alike like 5 hot knives through a bowl of butter, with the Uruk-Hai getting easily 20 kills apiece before going down. Archer Goblins and Orcs seemed to always hit the spots without armor, and the Dark Alliance was slowly pushing the Forest Alliance back. Belgarion and Repster were fighting as hard as anyone, but their ranks were slowly pushed back. The Ents, however, were doing most of the damage, hurling Orcs, Goblins, Uruk-Hai, most anything really, out of their paths. The Balrogs, however, were simply tearing the Ents apart with their whips of flame and swords that burned with the fires of a thousand evils. Suddenly, however, Repster fell back and raised his arms. Tounges of flames shot out and began to engulf the oncoming Orcish army with flame. He realized too late, however, that Bobbo, high up in his tower, was casting another spell, and a massive mirror force appeared over the Alliance of Darkness. The flames were repeled, and the majority of Ents in the army burned to a crisp. Suddenly, the remaining Ents turned on Repster in a rage, and he quickly realized what had happened. "No, it wasn't me! He repelled it with a mirror force!" But the Ents simply would not listen, and Repster was overrun.

And Bobbo watched it all, laughing all the way. But halfway through he suddenly stopped laughing, and devoted his gaze to the east for a bit... but then he resumed laughing. Had anyone bothered to look, they would have seen a dark cloud gathering in the east... but no one did.
