He's a good person, don'tchaknow.
Name: Ben-Goro
Gender: Male
Age: 53
Race: Goron
Height: 6' 4"
Weight: 874 lbs
Hair: Goron Rock-top (typical Goron hair)
Appearance: Most Gorons are large creatures, and as such, so is Ben-Goro. He is proud of his height, and also very broad from hours and hours of constant weight training. His body is covered in an array of scars, varying from deep cuts to teeth marks. His arms are extremely muscular, he could kill a man with little-to-no effort. His legs, however, are small and vulnerable, no matter how hard he tried he couldn't get them to the same degree of muscle mass as his arms. His face is that of an old warrior, with many small scars as well as a large prominent one streaking across his left eye. Despite the scars, he is constantly seen smiling. His ears are large, and point away from his head. His nose is large and smooth and shadows a given side of his face depending on your perspective. His eyes are light brown in color, and never seem sad. A small grin shines in his face at all times. Even when he sleeps, he does it grinning, some say, but that's because they've never seen him angry.
Clothing: He wears but two articles of clothing: The traditional Goron loin-cloth, and a set of gloves. The gloves are monstrous things, covered in all manner of spikes and nails.
Personality: Ben has a cheerful personality. Some are deceived by his enormous body, but his cheerfulness spreads so rapidly that he always makes friends in the end. Not what you would expect from a violent berserker, he travels to all sorts of inns and bars and tries to converse with everyone. When he talks to others he tends to forget to say that he's a berserker who kills to make his living. Ben has a bad habit of drinking alcohol, LOTS of alcohol. On his travels, he keeps a flask of beer with him at all times "To increase his morale." Ben is always talking, to friends, family, strangers, cats, walls, and himself when there's nobody around. He has an obsession with flying. He has tried many times, and failed just as many, to create a machine that he should, theoretically, be able to fly with. He is always positive. If Ganon conquered the world, Ben would say that he likes his hair, or something of that sort.
Biography: Ben's parents were gorons, naturally, that loved to travel. The would trek around the globe, buying wares and selling them elsewhere. They earned a good living doing so, but loved to travel so much that they never dreamed of settling down. When Ben's mother became pregnant, they had no choice but to, temporarily, settle on Dragonroost island.
Ben was born a large baby, even for a goron, and his body advanced quickly. He knew how to walk around his first birthday, and knew how to throw a punch by his second ( poor father). He grew up as an active, and curious child. His primary way to learn about his surroundings was eating and hitting things, yet he was friendly towards the smaller Ritos and quickly made friends with them.
He was a large boy, and strong as any adult goron. He didn't sacrifice brains for brawn either. He was different, but was largely accepted by the Rito tribe, and had many friends. There was one underlying factor (besides being a goron) that made him different from his friends: They could fly, and he could not. It made him slightly jealous, and in time this jealousy turned into a passion, and soon the passion turned into something far worse. An obsession.
When he was fourteen years of age, his parents had enough of sitting still on the island. Ben didn't want to leave his friends, and the only home he'd ever known, behind, so he was determined to stay. After many discussions with the Chieftain, it was settled: The Rito would look after Ben for one year, and his parents would travel the world for one year. before returning to the island once more.
In the time his parents were gone, Be changed dramatically. He showed his obsession for flying to the world, and would lock himself up, sometimes for days on end, concocting method after method, invention after invention, scheme after scheme to fly. He alienated himself from most of his friends, his grades in school suffered, and had almost no contact with the outside world. He sank into a deep depression after breaking his left arm during his forty-second attempt to fly.
When his parents returned, they found their son depressed. They decided that they would never travel without their son again, and after only a few months, Ben was completely back on track. Yet, deep within his mind, he still wanted to fly. His parents knew this, they knew it all too well.
And so, on his sixteenth birthday his dream finally came true. Carried by the three strongest Rito in the tribe, he flew through the air for fifteen minutes. They were perhaps the greatest fifteen minutes of his life. After he flew once, his obsession subsided. He still loved flying, but it was no longer the life-threatening obsession it once was.
When Ben became an adult, he had a new ambition: Becoming a great warrior. He pointed his life in the ways of combat, but there weren't any instructors on Dragonroost capable of handling a Goron, so he left his home and returned to the Goron Homeland. Once there, he joined the Goron "army" which consisted of four warriors, two archers, and one pikeman. He joined as a berserker, and by his thirtieth birthday had completed his army training and education. This resulted in the extremely muscular physique you see today. He went on "missions" until he was forty-four, then was honorably discharged from the army.
After he left the army, he lived a life of helping those who needed it and drinking alcohol. Like his father and mother, he l now loves traveling. He still yearns to feel the wind on his and fly once more...
Skills: No extraordinary skills for a "berserker", but he can smash through walls up to five meters thick.
Weapons: His hands are enough.
Random fact: Like most gorons, he tends to say "goro" after hard k sounds at the end of some words. (Example: Link-goro)
