Bak Mei awaits a challenger.

"Heh!" Bak Mei thought to himself.
"Those damn monks said they were going to send me a warrior who could defeat me. Seriously, defeat me? Heh!"
He paced back and forth in the yard of his temple, stroking his his beard. The trees that surrounded him granted him a sense of serenity that was much needed to help him relax from his rigorous practice sessions he put himself through on a daily basis.
Bak Mei began to wonder to himself whether the reason it took so long for his opponent to arrive was because of the secluded location of his temple. Located in the wilderness of the Chinese countryside, it took three days to travel to from the nearest city. Surrounded by a bamboo forest on one side and a mountain with a waterfall on the other, it would be easy for any traveler to get so caught up in the beauty of the nature surrounding them that they would completely forget about the challenge that lied ahead.
However, if that challenger had the least bit of knowledge about Bak Mei, their heart would be pounding faster than a hummingbird's as soon as they reached the top of the large staircase that lead to his training ground.
Bak Mei suddenly felt a presence, over a mile away. Though he could not see or hear anything, he knew his opponent would arrive soon.

First person to reply fights me. The standard battlefield rules used within the NLBFT apply to this match, minus the judging part. No killing, no healing, no transformations, no forcing the other person's character to do something out-of-character.
This battle will move in and out of my temple to the surrounding bamboo forest and mountain/waterfall/lake. Be prepared to use nature to your advantage and fight underwater.
By the way, there are two swordsmen guarding Bak Mei's temple. Feel free to kill them off in your first post.

Choose
Chase of
Kyle and PM me. Vote is in, Kyle it is.
Question, should they both be able to speak the same language? If not, I will need a German and Chinese dictionary.

A youth clad in blue and gray appeared over the top steps and was steadily approaching the temple with a with a dangerous look on his face. The guards drew their swords and shouted out something, probably a question or a warning, it didn't matter. All the youth did was count his steps until he was 6 meters away and grin.
A flash of light, thunderous roar, and the smell of burned flesh. Both guards were cut down with the
Snakebite attack before even fully realizing what was about to happen. He picked up the guards' weapons, held them up to the sky and shouted his challenge, "
I have heard that a legendary warrior lives in this castle." He knocked the blades together, testing them before continuing, "
If so, I must to take you down."

OoC: Bak Mei doesn't have a castle, per se; his temple is a small Chinese-style building surrounded by a sizeble workout yard with plenty of martial arts training equipment.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bak Mei was disturbed by all the yelling. In the distance, he replied with a racket of furious Cantonese. "How dare you yell at my temple! You will only speak when spoken to!"
He walked over to the top of the stairs and got a good look at his opponent. "A caucasian. Heh!" He stroked his beard. "What are you, American? Englishman? Doesn't matter; all you damn westerners are the same to me." Bak Mei stroked his beard. "I see you possess the ability to use electricity. My guards may have been easily defeated, but it's nothing but mere static to me!"
He chuckled, stroking his beard again. His face regained a seriousness, and he spoke in an arrogant, angry tone. "Run home, little boy! I might appear old and fragile, but I'll scorch your pretty little blue eyes black! Heh! Damn westerners! I despise your ways!" The boy only appeared slightly flustered by the arrogant old man.
"You seem confident in your abilities. That will change today!"
Bak Mei walked over to the weapons rack near the top of the stairs and removed a quarter-staff from it. "You want to prove your worth?" He threw the quarterstaff down to the white-haired boy staring up at him from the bottom of the steps. "Come, try to strike me down with this weapon!"
Himself unarmed, Bak Mei one hand out and stroked his beard with the other, signaling for his opponent to come attack him.

Ooc: I am well aware, just using a few cultural things. To a Westerner, the temple looks like a castle. Also, I know how skilled Bak Mei is supposed to be, and I will respect that. Also, the language barrier is fun to play with. By the way, his serpent attacks are not summons, but do resemble them.

Kyle dropped the swords and caught the staff with his left hand. "Do you own guards' blades scare you?" He questioned in English, "Then I will beat you with just this stick!" He charged up the stairs, his excitement growing with every step.
At the fourth to the top step he made a ferocious horizontal swing, easily skipped over.
At the third to the top step he took a vertical swing, easily sidestepped.
At the second step to the stop, he lunged, but the old man just took a short hop backwards.
At the very top step Kyle halted his charge and grinned. He pointed his left arm at the elder and shouted, "Serpent’s Laugh" Four snakelike elemental blasts burned holes through his shirt sleeve towards as they squirmed towards the elder martial artist. Nothing can dodge this attack, The beasts made three shocking bites on Bak Mei's left arm and one on his leg before dissolving.
Kyle twirled the staff while advancing and tried not to look to satisfied with himself.

Ooc: I was wondering what happened, but since it was spring break right after finals I did not give it much thought.
Take your time to reply, I will not be online again until Monday.

OoC: And almost a month later... Bak Mei emerges from... well, laziness.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bak Mei watched as his opponent advanced up the steps toward him, twirling his staff. He waited patiently, stroking his beard. When the staff was within, grabbing distance, he quickly thrust his arm forward and grasped onto the end. Kyle stopped moving toward him. First he twisted the pole to his right side, then, as Kyle struggled for possession, he pushed it above his head, twisted it to the left side. With his right leg becoming airborne first, he jumped over the pole to the other side, flipping above it as he landed on the other side, with the pole still in one of his hands. This action twisted Kyle's wrist, almost weakening it enough to snatch the staff from him. However, he instead pushed down the stairs forcefully, causing Kyle to tumble halfway down the staircase.
Kyle observed as Bak Mei wiped the blood off his arm from the attack earlier. Though the wound stung, he dare not show any reaction to the pain. It would be easier to anger his opponent that way.
"Heh! It's nothing but a scratch. Puny American! You call that fighting? Heh!" He stroked his beard and tossed it, and began to descend the steps slowly toward his opponent. Kyle stood up. Bak Mei extended his right arm forward.
"Try the staff again."
Kyle swung his staff with excellent skill and precision. However, Bak Mei blocked the swing with his palms. The young man swung again, this time to the opposite side, but with the same result. With each swing the young man made, the old man moved in toward his opponent until he was in striking distance. All the fingers on Bak Mei's hand came to a point. Blocking another swing of Kyle's staff, he stepped in and forcefully jabbed the young man in the chest.
"Haha. Crane Style."
As the two fought, they slowly moved up the steps and eventually into the training yard. Bak Mei kept repeatedly striking his opponent with the Crane, until he finally felt a jolt of electricity, which knocked him back a few yards.
"Heh! A mere shock," said the bitter old man.

(Ooc: As always, this is from the character's point of view, not mine.)
Kyle knew he was far outclassed in the hand to hand styles of fighting, and he knew it.
He considered changing his grip and making attacks from a further range... No the elder is too quick for that... run and get the swords? His expression showed dissatisfaction, No only a complete idiot would show there back to this man. Blue Demon would finish the fight quickly, no mortal would be able to keep up with that kind of speed. . . but that wouldn't be fair at all, the old man seemed honorable enough and probably wouldn't give chase if Klye chose to run. Besides he was beginning to enjoy this fight, but it was clear that without a familiar weapon this aging master would be impossible to defeat.
"Old man, you may not understand me, so I will speak with my fists."
He held the staff over his head and brought it down over his knee, leaving two three foot sections. The bow flipped these around in his hands, testing the weight, and then gripped them as he would his personal short swords.
This is a little more my style he thought to himself. A bit off balance, but these will do nicely. He charged to take back the offensive, making a flurry of attacks to try to overwhelm the master's strategies and defenses.
