This site seems pretty cool, and it means you don't have to go fish for an artist who wants to overcharge you for commission. Might be a good way to add a little spice to your character(s).

Even if you don't submit a description, if you're having trouble coming up with what your character looks like (or coming up with a character at all) maybe you should browse through it and find something that inspires you.
