Creating a New Character

I love creating characters but hate seeing them go to waste. So instead of making one for myself. I'm going to grab some information from Irby to start out with and we'll work out from there.

First a few questions.

What games do you play?
Who is your favorite character?
Do you like to be serious of funny?
Do you read a lot?
Are you involved in D&D or any other RPGs?
What kind of music do you enjoy?
What kind of music do you listen to?

These may seem like nonsense, but they really help. I'll get to that point in a minute. If anyone else seriously wants help from me in creating a new character, send me a PM before joining in.

I like to be funny most of the time but I tend to be serious at times.
Yes I read a lot.
Um not really, I play RS a lot and used to play Knight Online.
Not much of a music dude but rap is me fav.
Any music thats on the radio.

And here we are.

I have an udea for a gimmick one both usehul in humerous and serious situations.

I am thinking a very unlucky guy. One who always has the worst possible thing happen to him. He's not all that smart or strong, he doesn't even really know how to use any weapons or magic, but due to a blessing and a curse places on him at his birth, he's indestructable.

Just indestructable, everything still hurts but he can't be smashed, cut, suffocated, or even bruised.

Age: 17 Lets make him a little older than you so he's had time for lots of bad things to happen and it will be easier for you to know what he is thinking

Class: Meatshield - basic. His strongest attack is probably to be thrown at someone. I'll develop this more later.

Completely up to you. I'll edit and comment when you are done.

Personality: You can take it either way, either extremely optimistic on dismally depressing.

How does Jack Fortune sound for an actual name and Jack Lass for his Identity.

A small question, do you know how a 35 year old man's mind works? Its a lot different than a 13 year old. So I really think he should stay at 15-17.

I like the name Silas. How bout he's only known as Silas. And his personality... Hmmm well he's depressed but not emo.

I got an Idea, lets make his powers to be highly influeed by good and bad luck.Name: Jack Silas - but most people just call him Silas

Personality:
He's depressing because he knows that something is bound to happen. However, he is determined not to let his bad luck get the most of him and to try to use his good luck to help people.

Now, what do you think this guy would look like?
What would he wear?

I imagine him to be short and thin, probbably a little dirty from living on the street (Houses keep being destroyed) but not bony (Always finds food)
Probabbly with dark tangled hair and a pale complection.

He is your character, so he wears whatever you want him to, he can even change every battle.

But what do you think he would look like if he were standing in front of you?
Does he have a chipped tooth, a strange eye color, curly or straight hair. What would catch somebody't attention if they looked at his face.

Hm... His right eye is red. No one knows why. The curse could have caused that. His hair is dark messy hair. And by messy I mean like not combed. His face could have a small scar close to his red eye.

Sounds like a good start, We know he has a powerful curse and an equally powerful blessing on him, should make for an interesting duality.

Now just add some random stuff that may or may not be important to his story.

Does he go to school, does he know his family, what does he listen to, what are his long term goals, what are his short term goals.

If you plan to advance this character into something really cool, you need to know this character as well as you would know a good friend. The more you know the easier it will be for you to write and for your character to believable.

(Also, just as a small challenge, please never use the words stronger or strange ever to describe anything obout this character.)

I got another, lets make him a little more simple. His only power is luck. Good luck, bad luck, doesn't matter. He wins the lottery and ends up owing someone the whole amount. He gets hit by a truck but doesn't even get bruised. Discovers the answer to everything, has a pot dropped on his head and he loses his memories.
