OoC: I accept your challenge, brother. I'll ease up on the writing. I know you hate reading. I'm using Fang.

The castle was dark at this time of night. Bowser was off trying to capture the princess again and would not be back until morning. A couple of guards, a koopa and a goomba, were guarding the door the the Koopa King's absense. They quickly grew bored and began to converse.

Koopa: So you new?

Goomba: Yeah. I just finished my training.

Koopa: Cool. This will be my...fifth year on the force I think.

Goomba: Awesome.

It grew silent. The two guards had run out of things to talk about before anything interesting could be spoken about. Suddenly, a noise was heard.

Goomba: Did you hear that?

Koopa: Yeah. Keep your eye open, rookie.

They stood on alert. The goomba turned one way and the koopa turned the other way. That's when the cause of the noise made itself visible. The koopa spun around.

Koopa: Freeze! Your trespassing on private property. Leave or you will be ar-AHG!

The figure had impaled the veteran guard with his blade. The blade was forged of pure darkness. The koopa dropped as the dragonic figure removed his blade. He turned around and faced the goomba, who was shaking in fear.

Goomba: Please, no! I'm just a guard. Have mer...

His words were cut short as the assailant severed the rookie's head from his tiny body. The dragonic man put away his Dark Blade and fired a beam of energy at the large door, destroying it. He walked in and looked around.

Fang: I guess he only left two guards. Too bad. I was hoping for a challenge when I take over this castle.

But Fang was not alone and he was getting his challenge. Someone else was in the castle.

As Fang looked around, Copperhead jumped down from the ceiling in plain view. Fang lunged at Copperhead, but Copperhead easily evaded the attack & jumped on Fang's back. Confused, Fang draws out his blade and aimlessley stabs at Copperhead. Copperhead jumps off fang's back & activates his rocket boots. While flying in the air, Copperhead draws out his blade as well and goes into close combat with Fang. The two warriors engaged into serious sword fighting when all of a sudden, a dry bones walks into the fight scene.

Copperhead knocks the blade out of Fang's hands, and slashes the dry bones. the dry bones falls apart and Copperhead grabs the skull and beams it at Fang. By this time Fang has retrieved his blade and noticed the reptillian's plan. Fang slices the skull in 2 pieces. Copperhead grabs the femurs and flys to Fang while throwing the bones at Fang.

Fang knows better than to let bones just barrage you, so he slices the bones like he did the skull. While Fang was doing this, Copperhead has made it to Fang and tackles him. Fang once again loses grip of his blade and gets slamed into a wall.

The vibrations disturb a colony of boos and the boos phase through the wall and pick up Fang. Copperhead uses the boos to his advantage and scares the boos away. Fang, no longer supported by the boos, falls to the ground. Copperhead then grabs the dragon manipulator and throws him up into the air.

The boos that were taking Fang to an unknown location were now gone. It was ironic that the ghosts were scared. Fang began his unwilling descent. He tried to summon a dragon to catch him, but he could not. It seemed that the castle had a mysterious power that halted his summoning abilities. The dragon warrior thought of another way to save his life. He began firing energy beams downward. The force of the blasts pushed Fang upward while he still descended to the ground. Eventually, Fang landed softly of the concrete ground of Bowser's castle. It was a close call for Fang and he was weakened by the amount of energy used.

Meanwhile, Copperhead had watched the dragon manipulator slowly fall and rushed toward him with his sword readied to attack. He swung his sword at Fang like a maniac. The dragon warrior dodged every attack and looked for an opening. The reptillian soon slowed his pace as he was growing tired. Fang used this time to attack. He threw his flat-palmed hand forward into Copperhead's stomach, knocking the wind out of him. The reptillian fell to his knees as he clenched his stomach trying hard to regain his breath.

While Copperhead awaited his second wind, Fang retrieved his sword. He incanted a few dragonic words and the blade enlarged and turned bright red. It became very hot and began to steam. Copperhead slowly arose as he regained his breath. Fang rushed over to him and smashed the side of the blade against his face. The seering pain and heat shot through the reptillian like a bullet through paper. But it didn't end there. Being part reptile, Copperhead was obviously cold blooded. As the heat from the blade surrounded the reptillian, his blood temperature rose higher and higher. He grew extremely hot. Fang forced the side of the blade harder against the cold blooded creature. The heat was so intense, even the lava bubbles that inhabited the lower reaches of the fortress would have began to sweat.

Copperhead was about to be cooked.

Copperhead began to move more quickly since repitiles move faster the warmer thay are and pulled away from Fang. Copperhead quickly slashed at Fang with his claws, nailing every hit. Fang fell to the ground, covered in deep scratch marks. Then copperhead latched on to Fang's neck with his 6 inch fangs, injecting venom into Fang's blood stream. The venom overpowered Fang and caused massive muscle cramps and slow movement. It appeared Copperhead had the advantage, but Copperhead was still overheated.

The candle flames hung from the ceiling jumped from the candles. They were podoboos. They ran in aimless directions, not caring what they hit. Copperhead ignored the podoboos and shot a ball of acid at Fang. The intense acid cooled down Copperhead. He then realized that he could use the acid balls as offense and defense. Copperhead began shooting continuous acid balls at Fang.
