^I never whine, simply tell people of faults they need to fix. Please do not call me whiny because you are an overly tolerant person.

EDIT: And how did I lower my score? What in the world made me score an 8? Damn. I suck.

I chose Just Beat It for a very simple reason. Cause I felt like it. As I recall from my thought process this is how it happened.

Dnd soon, playing the bard of doomy music. Singing and making peoples die. Right, post. Aidan. Still want to music things dead... Aidan can music things dead. And Beast can't touch this... wait... no.. used that already. Gotta go for another song. Aidan. Monk. Fights unarmed. Kung-fu. Kung fu fighting. *checks lyrics* BAH! No. Don't like em. I just want to beat him. It. Whatever. [/b][/i] JUST BEAT IT! Okay... that was weird... but ... *opens the great wikipedia once again* Why not? It works. ALL FEAR THE AWESOME JACKSON POWER! ROBO MICHAEL! HE CAN FLY AND SHOOT LAZERS OUT OF HIS EYES!

Then I typed.
When our world is burning.
When all run like the cowards they are.
I shall stand in the inferno, and fight until I am consumed

the reason my character cried was because he was showing compassion and mourning for his fallen opponent, is that a crime? and even sitting I could have countered something with a fire attack. I'm not argueing, I'm just stating my side of this review tazzy10.

*Smacks something*

And no, I didn't just randomly come up with the psychocontrol. As stated in the bio, he can do that.

*leafs quickly through book*

Hmmm lesse... it's here some where... *flips past page 73* ACK!! *quickly returns to it*

Chapter 7: How to decipher illegible scribblings by a faerie!

Oh!!! *reads* O_O Uhhh... ahhhh... GOTIT!!!!

*looks up and sees Battlers fidgeting* OhMyGosh!!! I'm SORRY!!!!

Ahhh... Hi... I'm glad to be able to finally work out what I wrote... THIS is why typewriters were invented... then they became obsolete... and now I have this wonderful keyboard!!! I just needed to find a translation guide for handwriting. *cough*

>.>

(I'm sorry for my tardiness is replying. I have been busy beyond words. At least I now know more about Sociology than I did at the same time last week. ;) *gives you all marshmallows and leaves you each a grinnie* :D )

ON TO JUDGING!!!!

Alpha Division:

Alex vs Repster
(Best Battle: from a faerie's point of view!!)

Alex
I was impressed with your description. You have certainly improved!! You left me wanting more from your attacks, though. I liked the whole offensive on the flask and was anticipating an extension of that upon your opponent, as well. Regardless, there was good acknowledgement of what was happening.

8.7

Repster
Great opening post!! I was delighted with the description of both your character and the choice of battlefield. Your warrior was so intriguing. The "insanity" was entertaining and I liked the humour you incorporated. Nice array of thoughtful attacks. I thoroughly enjoyed the change in tone throughout your posts. WELL DONE!!!

8.9

[Repster, if I might add some advice here which has nothing to do with the scoring; I am guessing you use a "spell-checker", which is wonderful considering I'm of the understanding that English is not your first language. However, I wish to remind you that spell-checkers cannot tell you which word is in context, even when spelt correctly.
ie. "through" - to pass from side or end to other side or end... "threw" - past tense of 'throw' which is an act of propelling something, generally. There were a couple of other words, too, but I'm sure you get the gist of what I'm saying. ;) ]

Galefore vs Inferno Dragon

Galefore
I liked how your character saw the battlefield from his perspective. The insights you give into your character are interesting!! You have good variety in your attacks with a nice description to them.

(I might add, to take a little time and read your posts out loud to yourself.)

8.7

Inferno Dragon
Your battleground was great, and I liked the imagery you created. In your following posts, I felt that you didn't acknowledge any proper damage dealt to your character. And, at one point, Aiden had his claymore stuck in the chest of your Dragon... and I wasn't sure you had noticed this. ;) Nice attack names: I was hanging out for more description of how some of your attacks were formed, though.

7.2

Inferno, as per the Judges dicussion, you will be penalised for breaching Rule 3 after your score has been tallied from all Judges points.

Beta Division:

Vapor vs t3hDarkness

Vapor
Very good start, however, I was left wondering some little things. Some explanation; a little detail goes a long way to helping your reader form wonderful mental pictures. And, the original attack could have been so much more... if only you had written about the explosion and what it did from your character's point of view. I feel you have improved from the first Round. NIIIIICE!! You have an interesting writing style which I would sincerely love to see you develop!!!

8.1

t3hDarkness
I was impressed by the atmosphere you created in the opening post. You acknowledged injuries well and I liked the interesting retaliatory attacks. And, for you as well, some detail regarding how things happen would be a wonderful addition!

8.4

Malik vs Selene Starblade

Malik
I enjoyed your opening post!! Great description and a nice introduction to the battlefield. Twas a shame your opponent did not show. I was looking forward to this clash. (I will give you a cursory score which is usually the number I begin with. ;) )

6.1

Selene Starblade
Disqualified for no show.

.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Congratulations, Battlers. I was impressed!!! Overall, I noticed an improvement... and I hope you feel as proud of your writing as I do seeing you improve in such a short time!! :D
She lives in the clouds and talks to the birds...
Happiest faerie of VGF.
*Shrugs* Well, that was fun. *Silently steal away, then comes back to wait for Wyborn's judgement*
By the way, I actually do have a typewriter.
Ah... No wonder my scores are lower this round. Just checked my posts... Bad stuff... If I advance, I'll have to step it up, especially if I'm battling Repster or Alex.
One apology before the other?
And I suppose this would make it the time for me to apologize.
I am extremely sorry for my failure to show for this round of the NLBFT. I have recently been fairly ill as well as suffering from some fairly severe financial problems (pursuant, partially, to said illness). I must unfortunately admit that these various difficulties left me not even recalling the tournament- and then last week I didn't think about it either.
In fact, I didn't even remember it until just a few minutes ago, with a sort of 'OMFG moment'.
Wyborn, HotD, and Tazy10, I apologize for giving no notice and providing an unwelcome disruption in the tournament, as well as for depriving you all of another battle to enjoy (or labor over, your choice). To my purported opponent who seems to have changed his name such that I'm not sure who he is, I apologize for complete failure to appear as slated for combat, and for the disappointment you must have felt on finding that you would not be able to engage an opponent in battle this round. To all other tournament members and readers, I am gravely sorry for my unannounced absence and any disruption or lack of meeting expectations it has caused.
I *am* back, but that hardly does the tournament any good now.
Again, my deepest apologies for not even contacting to let know of my problems, something I would have found a bit troublesome to think of someone else doing, and am galled to have to admit to doing myself.
Humblest gratitude for your time and patience, all.
*bows deeply while shuffling backwards out of the room*
I did, but since it was a claymore sword made of ice, when Inferno was surrounded by flames charging up for his following attack the sword melted as did any other ice objects in or on his body.
Galefore, it's my turn to apologize, but this is the last time I'm doing it.
I can't do thej udging for this tournament right now. My time has evaporated since I came home (go figure) and it won't be getting any more free as time goes on. I'm sorry I couldn't tell you this sooner, and I'm sorry I couldn't hold ot my duties. If it matters, my judgments would more or less coincide with Tazy and HotD, so you can go on their scores for this round.
Inferno, I'll say this: you didn't break a rule of the tourney, you broke a rule of the battlefield itself, and that's a lot more serious. As this is a first-time offense and you corrected it you were merely deducted points for it, but if it happens again - from anyone - I expect the consequences will be dire. There's no rule on the BF more important than "Only You Say When You Die." Don't break it.
Galefore, please find someone to fill my shoes. Again, I'm sorry.
okay, well it looks like I'm out. I screwed up and I paid for it. my only regret is that I temporarily let my emotions controll me which resulted in my loss. again I apologize to the entire board and I promise it will never happen again.
*Inferno turns and walks away waving to his fellow combatents*
You'd be better off putting up a "Help Wanted" topic of sorts.
Ah. I will. And I accept your apologies, you don't have to feel as if it is your duty to judge this thing. I am perfectly fine with your choice to resign.
