OOC:Sorry I didn't post yesterday but something came up.
The Alpha Centauri and her companion sailed in the directoin Joker's small fleet had fled.They had been traveling for a little while when the mast of a ship came over the crest of the earth.
"Sir, a mast ahead, several miles away" the lookout said from up on top of the crows nest.He was ready to bail out at a moments notice with the mast only having a make shift fix.
"Good, that must be them" General David said from the deck.The soldier's cheered wanting revenge for their lost comrades.
"Sir, the ship can be seen more clearly, however I have 3 more masts coming up heading toward the other ship" the lookout said in a surpised voice.
"What? 3 more ships? 4 ships altogether.Ok, keep sailing forward at full speed.DEMO!, break off to starboard and see if they're our targets, if so you know what to do" General David yelled over at Captain Demo"Sir, yes sir" Demo said happily.This would be a good day for him.
All of a sudden a cannon shot was heard and a spout of water erupted several hundred yards to port of the Alpha Centauri, just as her companion broke to starboard.The Alpha Centauri sailed over to port once a figure was seen floating in the water.Muskets were trained on the figure just in case.
A dingy was sent out to see who it was and if they could help.GD was there on board the dingy with his swords at the ready along with a pistol.
Demo sailed ahead gaining speed being a much faster ship.The lookouts aboard the other 4 ships could now clearly makeout Demo's ship Explosion.It looked like an ordinary ship, except it had no cannons on it.Joker's ships paid it no heed and continued on to the Infortium.However, Joker soon realized this newcoming ship would was heading towards his fleet and would reach it before they reached their potential ally.
Joker looked more closely at the ship.He was now able to make out a Centaurian at the helm.Joker had not a clue of what he could be doing.Whatever it was, he didn't like it.Joker ordered his ships to open fire on this newcomer and spouts of water erupted all around the ship.Most completely missed and the ones that hit, hit to much at an angle and just bounced off.Another massive volley was launched.The iron hell ripped open holes in the sails and several holes in the wood of the deck.
Demo knelt down and lit something.Then Demo jumped off the ship into a waiting dingy and began to row away. What did he just do? Joker thought.Then it hit him, the ship was a fireship rigged to explode.He had another massive volley fired to try his best to blow the ship up before it got there.They failed to do so.
The Explosion erupted in a massive fireball and huge splinters right in the middle of the 3 ships.The concussion knocked several people of the decks of all 3 ships and then it began to rail giant bits of splintered wood.Vampires and ghouls were cut to bits and stabbed with the splinters.It was another form of hell.
OOC:Ahhhh, fireships, you got to love them.Except when they're used against you of course [img]tongue.gif[/img]
