On the top floor of the castle ruins, where she still awaited Crav, as hopeless as it was, a strange game of chess was taking place, although there was only one player.

"Checkmate!"

The gnome ran to the other side of the chessboard and sighed deeply. "Oh, you always win..."

Scooting back to her original position, she assumed a victorious stance, with one hand on her hip and the other pointing at the empty space.

"Haha! That's cause you're a loser!"

She made an attempt to respond to herself on the opposite side, but her sleeve caught on the edge of the game board as she ran, and both chessboard and gnome ended up in a pile on the floor.

"Ouch..."
