Ramses attempted to rise once more, but it felt to him as if his soul had been utterly demolished by his new foe. He collapsed to the floor, left stump of an arm twitching in a pool of strange, dark blood.

"Hey, need a hand?" a voice whispered inside the beaten man's head.

"You...you're the one who brought me back." Ramses acknowledged the identity of this mysterious voice with a pained whisper and a familiar scowl.

"Yes!

"What do you want...?"

"Obviously, I want to help you out. And I have a plan! Bathe your nails in that blood from your, err, left arm."

Ramses followed the mysterious whisper's directions. He drowned his black nails in the blood for a few seconds, before pulling them out and examining them. Their jet black color had been dyed a dark red.

"The blood that pumps out of your sorry little stub of an arm is demonic blood. I kinda powered you up while I spitting in the face of God, heh. I wouldn't recommend drinking it, though. Silly results, I was having a bad day. Well, have fun." the voice went silent.

"God damn Necromancer." and with that, Ramses mustered his strength and slowly rose to his feet once more. The Man of Oil seemed to be still preoccupied with three remaining guards. One went down rather easily, as the slimy creature bit the guard's left leg, and effortlessly tore it to pieces. From there, he was granted quick death as a dark claw crushed his head.

Ramses recklessly charged at the creature as he did the chef. He launched himself at the mysterious slimy man, and swung his strange, red claws. The nails managed to dig into what appeared to be the abomination's chest. Warmth ran up Ramses's arm as a loud painful cry blasted through the large room. The remaining guards quickly reacted by firing at the two disruptors, grounded on the floor. Bullets blasted through both the creature's body, and Ramses's own. The slime regenerated it's wounds quickly, while the decayed man grimaced in agony as bullets ruptured his chest.

Finally, the black slime ceased it's painful cry, before managing to release to push Ramses back with a powerful push of the claw. It quickly rose, preparing to strike the amputated man once more. A familiar cry of pain instead sounded, however. Alien blades of dark, blood red began to slowly out of the slimy man's body.

It was at this time Ramses noticed that his nails had lost their new, red color and had returned to a dull black. "Well, I guess that guy got his wish of helping me." he muttered, his scowl unchanging.

Ooc: Book? Been thinking and starting up something every once in awhile the past ten years or so. Never gets very far.

I should have remembered earlier... this is Aidan Dreiks. Being drilled in half? A minor inconvenience.
-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-

Well, this just downright sucked. Aidan thought as he took a swig from his flask. He had no spine. Bit of an issue to controlling his lower extremities that were barely attached. His inside were always... odd to him. Intestines, liver, and everything that was missing. He rarely though of those as a part of him. After all... he did not need them. his spine however, that was responsible for most of the control he had over his body. Most, not all. He could not keep himself together, his lower half dangling from a few bits of torn flesh , and could not spare the strength, or time, to regenerate enough to move about with ease. What to do... what to do. He shrugged. Took another swig, the first dripping down on the ground.

Metal man crashed through the alley way, and saw Aidan tear of those remaning bits of flesh, sling his belt around his shoulder, grab his ankles and rip himself in half. He then go up.

Fire rushe out from what was left of Aidan's bleeding chest, and form a crude humanoid shape, it seem to solidify in a strange crystallized bone structure. It was weak, but it would do for now, barely. After all, control over his flesh could be serverly damaged by simple means, but fire, now that was a significantly more impressive feat.

"Now normally I'm not one for weapons..." Aidan chuckled hefting his leg. "But for you, tiny, this will do quite nicely."

Aidan lept at the monstrosity, his fiery lower half exploding out to propel him with enough rah speed. Metal man found to getting his arm to smack Aidan was much more difficulty now that he had to cross a further expanse. Aidan smashed his leg aside the carface. The impact force from the blow was ridiculous and he stumbled back. Then cam the second, and it did far more them push and dent. Metal man had fused with a car, not the sturdiest of vehicles. It was safer for it to give way, it was safer for it to have multitudes of failure points, failure points Metal man had taken withing him, failure point Aidan saw as clear as day. Those failure points are what Aidan struck. The framework beneath his plating cracking and bending.

A surge of speed flowed into the blacksmith body as his pounded Metal Man with him battered and bloody limbs. The he stopped. Pressed his hands on the machine his fingers digging in, and he ripped off it's arm.

It had taken only a tiny moment, about as long as it took to reel a fist, and strike. Aidan ribs broke from the impact. And lost his grip on one of his legs as it smacked into Metal man's faceplate and slid down. Wipers flutter back and force wiping the blood away, the leg getting caught in one.

Aidan rose slowly, his fiery body sputtering and flaring stronger as blood seeped into it. He smiled as he unclipped his flask and took a swig. He rose and hand, and snapped his fingers. Metal man barely heard the sound as it was drowned out by the severed appendage at his neck detonating. Aidan's body was simply a high energy container for his will. Much like a giant slab of TNT.

He gripped his remaining weapon and waited, his mad surging up, horribly mangled lungs be damned.
-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-

It was strangely quiet to Aidan's ears. Ah, his heart stopped. Understandable, it could not continue with it's function without anything to pump. Oh there was still blood in him, but none reached the organ. This set a rather strict time limit for the man. Not much of a bother, he could on bloodless for a long enough, but annoying none the less. He did not like to rush things to much. Haste makes waste after all. It was time he taught Inferno a few things anyway, best be about it.

"Finished? Boy, I'm just getting started ." Aidan laughter shrieked out across the volcanic landscape. He got up, and went to take a swig from his flash, a flash of rage across his face as he found nothing. A sigh of regret and he looked up to inferno, his golden eye already showing the effects of blood loss, and accelerate necrosis. Not long before he lost his sight, but then, that's why he had nine or so other senses.

"Lesson one. Your paranoid. Your "seeing" things that don't happen. I did not waste my strenght putting "energy" of any sort into no planet."

He kicked a stone away. Stupid half breed, hurting the booze... what did his whiskey ever do to him?

"Second, since you don't seem to understand this, you are an overconfident arrogant fool of an idiot."

He chuckled, and punched Inferno in the face, shattering his nasal cavity. Shock replace any anger in inferno. A strange shock, after all, he could teleport, why not Aidan? Perhaps is was more due to the fact that the smaller man had engaged in straight combat. Or the raw power that broke threw his defenses with ease.

Harness did not matter to Aidan. Barriers did not matter. Reinforcement did not matter. Durability did not matter. All were simple, insignificant defenses unless one truly specialized in them. Inferno obviously did not. Oh his defenses were remarkable, even subconsciously, but unremarkable, perhaps even weak considering his might.

His claw went for Aidan's face, ready to reciprocate for his broken nose by tearing his face off. He did. There was no even an attempt to stop it. Inferno's claws riped and tore a path from right brow down to his jaw, flesh peeling away, blood flowing out, bone being exposed and cracked from the blow. The golden eye disappeared as was to be expected from losing half your face.

"Third. You leave yourself way to open. Fourth my tricks work fine on you." Aidan spoke even as his flesh was being rend from his body. His hand lashed out, palm striking Inferno's trachea, and shattering it. Aidan was weaker then the dragon king in almost every way, but then, physical power never meant much to the blacksmith. Hi Ki burst out and ripped apart Inferno throat even more, whatever little air he could have gotten was a mere gurgling as he choke on his blood.

This was not about the stop Inferno, drawing on his nigh limitless reserves of Ki he sent of mass of it into Aidan chest, and bored a hole straight where his heart is. Aidan smirked, and chuckled, amused at his opponent.

"Fifth, your predictable. Sixth, I lost more blood then the average human contains, a heart is meaningless to me at this point."

Aidan grabbed the dragon by his tail and threw him down the volcano. He stood on Inferno's head further dragging his face into the ground tearing it apart on the cooled lava. They skided to a stop, Inferno correcting himself shortly, rising throwing Aidan off him and firing more Ki. Power enough to knock his head straight off.

"Seventh. Grip the wrist, point it away. Bam."

He followed his words, and the beam of raw physical strength that Inferno emitted tore apart the landscape, riverlets of magma spreading from the gouge.

"Eighth. Chill."

Inferno did chill. After all, his feet were frozen to the ground, his body covered in frost, as everything else was. He heard the ground crack, and break apart, and it was snowing . Every bit of moisture in the air being flash frozen, all the heat being immediately sucked out in concentrated in one point, Aidan. The winds howled as a sudden cold from met the rushing volcanic heat. Snow turned to rain, ice to water.

"Ninth. Your mother's a whore."

Aidan Decked inferno in the face. Nothing fancy, just a straight punch. A straight punch powered by his weight. By the heat of the area converted straight into Ki, Ki used to strenghted his musculature, and harden the impact. A punch powered by his will.

Inferno's feet were torn apart as his was forcefully released from the one point of ice that had lasted. After all, That was the only chunk Aidan wanted to remain cold. Sure, his own body heat had already reacted subconsciously to free him, and lessen the damage. But it just meant his wet feet ended up like a wet tongue on cold metal.

His feet tored apart and he bounced on the cracked, jagged ground. Would it hamper him? Unlikely, he could fly after all, but it would hurt like a bitch, and it was just one more source of blood lose and pain added up.

Aidan laughed, and waited. He could have followed through, and then went about his business, but... nah. Where was the fun in that? He wanted to see what Inferno would do now.
When our world is burning.
When all run like the cowards they are.
I shall stand in the inferno, and fight until I am consumed

Perhaps it was the fates working with him, or rather a matter of sheer luck. Whatever the case was, Fear darted to his right, right at the moment of a sudden blast of light shot from the cyborg's eye. The laser singed his left hip, narrowing grazing the bone and burning whatever was in the way. Fear fell to the ground in pain, struggling to get to his feet. Already a difficult task, he soon found his scythe had been sliced in two. The blade fell an inch short of his head while most of the pole was already beneath him. Moving the long pole from underneath him, the otherworldly being struggled to his feet, ignoring the taunts of the mad man.

"Come on, it's a fair trade! Just stand still so I can complete the transaction!" he cried out, rather gleefully for having no legs.

If he can't even be acknowledging the pain of having no lower body, surely there isn't much humanity left, if any at all, in this one. Fear went for the broken scythe blade, then he noticed the same eye lighting from a few seconds ago happening again. Another laser shot. Through a sudden burst of adrenaline, Fate flung the blade at Fritz. The whirling ring of death caused the mad man to quickly catch the blade by the remaining handle. "No no, can't be giving me a lobotomy, you haven't sterilized your equipment."

"My mistake," Fear grunted as he used the pole to fling himself toward Fritz. Before the cyborg knew it, the divine being quickly slammed the pole into Robert's face, enough force to hopefully shut down that damn laser. Whatever the case, as soon as Fear landed, he suddenly threw himself a few feet away in pain.

He ruptured something in his body. That laser didn't help stop any bleeding

Inferno's internal tempreture, despite Aidan's ability to suck the heat of the area around him, was so high that any internal wound was instanly cauterized to prevent internal bleeding. Inferno quickly focused his ki at his trachea to keep it open to breathe. his nose may be shattered, and the skin from the soles of his feet may have been ripped off but he quickly shakes off the pain and smirks at Aidan.

"it's not arrogance if you have the skill to back it up." he said in a slightly nasely voice as a result from the shattered nose.

upon saying that, thirteen pillers shoot up from the frozen ground around him, each pillar with a statue of one of Inferno's siblings. Inferno flies up to eye level with the statues.

"my brothers and sisters, lent me your energies to vanquish my foe!"

the statues infuse their elemental energies into Inferno turning his orange skin, his crimson wings, and his golden hair pale shades of their normally vibrant and brilliant hues. symbols of varying colors appear like tattos across his body as an aura of white energy surrounded him. the statues an pillars shattered as he floated down to the frozen ground with ease. his feet no longer stuck to the frozen grounds.

"this is my elemental form. I was hoping I wouldn't need this form, but this icy environment leaft me no choice, every step I would have taken would have continually ripped the flesh and muscles from my feet and the ice falling from the sky prevented extended flights. but this form, well..."

Inferno pointed two fingers at Aidan, flipped them palm side up and flicked them skywards, causing spikes of ice to impale Aidan, holding him in place. Inferno then solidified the snow to tiny crystals, hard as quarts and whipped up a gale force wind in Aidan's direction. the tiny crystalized snowflakes causing millions of cuts over every inch of aidan's body. the cutting winds finally stopped as normal snow began to fall once again.

"let's just say freezing the area wasn't smart"

by this time the ice spikes holding Aidan in place had melted from the heat comming from his apparant walking corpse, aidan's willpiwer and remaining blood was all that kept him going at this point, but he didn't care. he kept comming knowing full well his time was running out. Inferno simply walked up to Aidan and backhanded Aidan with the fused energy of the elements, sending Aidan skidding across the jagged icy terrain. the snow suddenly froze in mid air and turned to water as it rained down on the frozen land. as Aidan skidded to a stop lightning cracked through the sky and struck Aidan sending electricity and plasma through his body. Inferno patiently waited to see what aiden would do next, taking a defensive stance.

People could be heard screaming and running from the casino, cramming themselves into the stair-well and into the restaurant, women dressed in cocktail dresses and men in business suits mostly. Not the bartender though, a thin middle-aged man with a pointed nose and a fancy moustache possibly to make up for the lack of his hair on his head. He was going to stay loyal to his profession, and wouldn’t be budged an inch from his bar until he was dead. Fortunately for him, ducking behind the bar and hiding in a corner didn’t require leaving his post unmanned. The casino was now almost completely empty now, save for the bartender, some seemingly dead security guards, and a few people who honestly just cared about winning at the slots and were completely absorbed into it.

The Black creature screeched, an apparent reaction to the crimson blades slicing through its upper-mid torso. The scowling man just watched, his stone face remaining still. A few moments of slicing blood-blades later, the screeching stopped… The creature lying face-down on the pale-tan tiles of the marble floor was sliced in half. Bits of the black substance it was made of were on the wall, floor, and even the ceiling.

Ramses, not sure if the fight was over, stood his ground. He wasn’t very surprised when he heard and saw the shifting of the inky man. Ramses readied himself by painfully burying his still animate hand into the socket of the still bleeding stub. He should’ve been feeling a lot more light-headed than he was, or at least he was showing, from sheer loss of blood.

If it weren’t for it lying face down, Ramses would have noticed the color change of the creature’s eyes as it absorbed the elements of demonic magic from the attack making it seem that much more menacing. The oil-man’s left arm receded into his torso about half way and the digits of the sinister-looking hand followed. What was left was not a stub but a short spike. The substance that receded into his torso travelled down to the gap between the upper and lower halves of the creature and bonded the two together. During all of this the lights throughout the hotel were flickering on and off. The creature then got itself up two legs, clumsily stumbling a little, its gazed fixed at the floor. The creature then flicked its gaze upward, and showed its newly found crimson eyes. The intensity of the stare probably could have pierced through solid brick. The earth seemed to be shaking for Ramses as he locked eyes with his amputator. Just when the lights seemed to come back on completely, the creature then readied itself, and rushed at the enemy within a moment’s notice. About halfway to the enemy, it leaped up. It then faked a hit with its right arm-spear-thing and once Ramses had readied his guard, the creature’s leg receded into its body part of the way and turned into another spike, while its arm reformed to its original state. The creature then spun around a bit, its new leg-spear snuck under and around the man’s single-arm guard and found itself piercing and wedging painfully into Ramses’ only good bicep. Ramses was screaming in insane anger, but the oil-creature wasn’t done just yet. The black-creature then spun even more and completely tore half of the arm off. The only thing holding the man’s arm on seemed to be half of a bicep, the exposed bone, and the exposed veins and arteries that weren’t ripped. The blood just didn’t seem able to pour out that well anymore; perhaps he was running on empty. The man attempted to force his half an arm into the creatures chest again, and was actually able to lift it using some otherworldly will, but he wasn’t fast enough. The creature flipped backwards, narrowly dodging the thrust, grabbed the disembodied, half-burned arm from earlier, and using its own spear-leg, it spun a few times around then gracefully spin-jumped back over to Ramses. Balancing on its spike leg and wielding a disembodied arm in its own right hand, the ink-man attempted to knock Ramses in the head using his own arm like it had earlier, but Ramses, being as clever as he was, ducked backward just in time to dodge, thus disabling the use of the joke, "Stop hitting yourself. Stop hitting yourself..." Ramses then swung his semi-good arm around in an attempt to thrust his sharp, crimson nails into the creature's side, but to no avail. The ink-blot guy spun around clockwise this time to dodge. As he kept going the disembodied arm came around and its mostly burnt up bicep conected with its former owner's jaw, nearly dislocating it completely. Following this was the creatures own clawed hand. It hooked on and under Ramses' face like a fish hook. He went flying through the air, swinging around as the black creature spun. Going faster and faster, the momentum helping them along. The centrifigal force alone kept Ramses from countering this brutality in any way. Around and around. The claws of the oily fiend digging deeper and deeper into his face, jaw, and neck, until finally, the black creature slammed Ramses' head into a slot machine. His skull should've shattered, but as his luck had it, he only suffered a broken jaw, a busted face, and an cut eyelid that shielded the round organ. The creature was distracted by the threatening sound of a shotgun cocking and firing upward. It was the bar tender. He was shouting some order to the combatants to stop or he'd stop it. The change in personality was strange and came out of nowhere. It was like something possessed him and completely took control, like he was a different person. Perhaps something happened during the Oil-mans absorbtion of demonic blood. The creature turned and observed the man as if he noticed something that noone else could see.

The Bartender, a smile curling on the side of his mouth, said in a newfound gruff man-voice, "Gotcha, prettyboy." The creature screeched in acknowledgement of the statement. It loosed its grip of the Ramses' neck and was preparing to leap the ten feet over to the bar. During all of this, the half knocked out Ramses had managed to break the metal lever off of the slot machine he had been rammed into, it was surprisingly fragile, or perhaps there was something... else...

The scarred and decaying man held the metal lever over his head with his half-skined arm, and jabbed it downward into the creatures back. It went a satisfactory distance in to the black thing before a reaction occured. The oil-creature screeched in pain, turned around, hooked its claws into the man again and flung him into the bartender who's shotgun went off, lacing one of the several lights in the ceiling with buck-shot. It actually didn't stop working, it just leaked a strange white, glowing liquid that was only slightly warm to the touch. The two men went flying back into shelf of apparently very sturdy bottles about five feet behind the bar, ten feet to the right was the door to the kitchen. It actually didn't hurt Ramses all that much as it wasn't meant for him. The bar tender was knocked unconcious though, but there was something else amiss. A shadow floated on the wall above where he was lying. The creature watched as it zipped up the wall, then down the ceiling, and out the room. Ramses, being as clever as he was, didn't notice this, but instead grabbed the unmanned shotgun on the floor. Just before the creature could leave, he fired it in the air, and said something about not wanting to be ignored. In repliance to this, the dark creature picked up Ramses' disembodied arm, formed the hand into a middle finger, then swallowed the arm whole. Doing this didn't seem to effect the creature directly (not yet at least), but it definitely ticked Ramses off even more. He pointed the gun at the creature with his disfigured arm, and was ready to fire.

Ooc: Inferno.
Trachea is a common term for an airway through which respiratory air passes in organisms. In vertebrates, it is held open by up to 20 C-shaped rings of cartilage, and may also be known as the "windpipe."
The medical practice or technique of cauterization is a medical term describing the burning of part of a body to remove or close off a part of it in a process called cautery, which destroys some tissue.
Just making sure you understand these things. Once you have confirmed that you do, I shall begin working on my post. Many things I can work with... but those two words are rather... important to the path I am planning to take.
When our world is burning.
When all run like the cowards they are.
I shall stand in the inferno, and fight until I am consumed

OOC: the cauterization of the broken blood vesles was to keep me from literally drowning in my own blood. focusing my ki to keep my windpipe open WITHOT stopping the bleeding would have resulted in blood filling up my lungs and thus drowning in my own blood. by cauterizing the point blood was freely flowing into my throat I prevented this and was able to keep a steady blood flow going to the rest of my body so that the body will still function and keep air flowing freely into my lungs.
AIDAN on the other hand should have died by now due to the fact that his heart was obliterated, and YOU did that to yourself. not to mention you've said repeatedly that Aidan is only human, if the human heart EXPLODES, the person would go into shock, immediately fall over, and die just minuets after that, if not instantly. not to mention that hole you made in yourself made it to where the spinal collumn was severed, making it impossible for you to walk with no way for the brain to communicate to the nerves in your legs. even if Aidan had psychokinesis to move his legs, by this point the brain would be starved for oxygen to where it wouldn't be functioning properly. if you're trying to make this a medical arguement I can keep going.
but for the record, in inferno's case cauterising means,
"using fire to burn a wound shut to stop bleeding while still retaining functionality of the organs/veins/arteries that were 'cauterized'."

I'm not getting into no medical argument. Just making sure you understand what you just did, and you do. You understand that you have just said that fire can burn Inferno, at the very least from the inside. Excellent.

That was all that I required. A simple yes.

Also, The word human appears 3 times in my posts. Once as a reference to Aidan, a slight mistake on my part, but that is what he looks like.

Once as Aidan referring to himself, but in context more to his heritage then himself at the moment. Comparing were he comes from to the great dragon, and those of royal blood, and the sayins.

And the third as a measuring stick of above 5 litters. Not quite being used to whatever system of measure Inferno would use. Not quite repeatedly referring to Aidan as human now is it?

Hrm... probably should have brought this to pms in the first place... ah well.

ooc: just letting you know, only his own internal fire can do that and only when Inferno instincts allow it, outside influences like aidan's powers won't work, but you probably noticed that since Inferno's internal fires never got drained when you drained all of the surrounding heat into yourself. but besides that, now that he's in elemental form 1 of 13 other elements will instinctively counter your attempt to burn inferno from the inside out.

I hope this is understandable.

Kryp slowly dragged himself from the wreckage. He will admit that this was not the best situation he was in, with every part of his body in pain, bleeding or unresponsive altogether, but he wasn’t willing to surrender. Maybe it was smarter to give up then to keep getting mercilessly wrecked by the Soul Stone, but Kryp wasn’t the kind of person to do that. So, he attempted to scramble away from the golem, avoiding the golem’s attempt to smash him into the floor as he struggled to get to his feet. Eventually he got far enough away from the golem to stand; he attempted to survey the immediate area, though unsurprisingly, all that was there was crystal. Kryp appeared to have no other choice in the matter.

He extended his arm and opened his palm, revealing an invisible flame. One would even say it was a clear flame he was holding. Quickly, the flame surrounded Kryp and eventually went to his sword. “Green Zeva Style!” he said as the flames quickly turned green. The Golem was already lumbering at him, winding up another punch to slam Kryp into the next chamber over, if there was a chamber, but Kryptonite had other ideas. He starts to spin his sword, which turns into a circle of green as Kryp says the words “Olive Reflection!” . The Punch hits the green barrier, which immediately flies back and hits the golem back in the chest. The golem staggers back a bit, but is no worse for the wear, while Kryp reignites the clear flame in his hand. The flame around Kryp’s sword turned Black as Kryp spoke the words “Black Zeva Style, let’s do this!” . The golem manages to regain his balance and runs full force and Kryp, willing to bet that Kryptonite cannot stop 10 tons of diamond. Kryp had a different plan in mind as his body was enveloped in dark energy. Suddenly Kryp dissapeared, with only a trail of Black flames to show where he was. Before the Golem can even brace for an attack, the flames go under the golem and behind it, where Kryp materialized. Kryp’s words rang out as the flames disappeared, “Shadow Strike!”.

The golem didn’t seem to think Kryp did anything, especially since he’s so injured. The golem attempts to backhand him and it immediately slides off his legs, having been cut cleanly in half, and starts to fall on Kryptonite. Quickly, Kryp swings the sword again, causing a gash across the creature and flinging it to the ground face first. Suddenly, Alastor burst into flames that went across the sword like a flamethrower, easily adding another couple of inches to the blade. Kryp smiled as he thrusted the extended sword into the beast's chest, blood flying off of him.

OoC: Mushi, just an FYI, the rupture is on my guy, since I just realized how vague that last part was.

Let's get this thang going.

One thing Zaidon never really liked was blows to the head. Attacks to his chest were painful, but not life-threatening because there are no vital organs in his torso (unless you count the main nerve cord embedded in the spinal column that controls everything as vital). But getting nailed in the head always blurred his vision and made his ears ring.

He wasn't sure what type of energy it was that was fired from Gear's face. His face wasn't burned, so it wasn't heat or LASER energy... perhaps it was some kind of alien photonic kinetic energy? Whatever it was, it wasn't heat so he couldn't simply absorb it, and it was kinetic, because it playfully smashed him through a stone wall. Zaidon stood up from the rubble, slightly quivering from the damage and holding his head in pain.

The translucent mech-soldier sauntered up to Zaidon to pose his question. Through the ringing, he heard the voice in his mind, which is ethereally created by the small, brain-like nucleus in his head.

<My lust for war is great, and ever-growing. Will it be sated with your fervent competition?>

<Where is that voice coming from?>

<It is manifesting itself directly into your mind; however, it originates from the robot standing in front of you. I inquired whether you will aid in the quenching of my thirst for battle.>

Zaidon shook his head to clear it, as the ringing and blurriness slowly faded.

"I don't want to fight you." He said aloud.

<This is unfortunate... A case unfortunate such that I have absolutely no use for you. I shall dispose of you in my anger.>

Gear awkwardly aimed the hand of his damaged arm at Zaidon and fired three gear-shaped bladed shurikens into his chest, sinking into the places where the heart and each lung would normally be located on a human, respectively. Zaidon stepped back in shock. The razor-like disks sliced clear through his ribs and shredded apart sections of his pectoral muscles. The pain was unfathomably searing. He dashed to a dead soldier and obtained a kite shield and a five-foot spear.

It was at this point that Gear realized his attack was not fatal this homunculus. He fired ten more whirling blades at Zaidon, nine of which sunk into the shield. One that was aimed low found its way into his left shin. Zaidon cried out in pain, but quickly stuck the point of the spear into circle in the middle of gear-shuriken and quickly but carefully plucked it out of his leg using his right knee for leverage.

The thermal warrior from the future now charged at his alien opponent, oddly armed as if he were in a "300 Spartans" movie. He held the spear improperly high above his head as if he were going to slam it down on his opponent like hammer. The concept of using a weapon with a wooden handle against a chainsaw sword was so absurd and distracting that Gear did not foresee Zaidon thrusting the kite shield forward and cramming it into The White Gear's face. His optic input flashed static during the steel-on-steel impact.

Quickly following his surprise attack, Zaidon gripped the spear the correct way and skewered Gear through his abdomen-equivalent. The robot reached for the man's head with his empty hand, but Zaidon grabbed the end of the handle of the spear sticking through Gear's mid-section and spun him. The long handle provided the leverage he needed to overpower the robot. After twisting the robot sideways, Zaidon grabbed the shuriken launcher on Gear's right arm and melted the barrel down with his hand.

Having the spear handle no longer in his opponent's grip, Gear twisted back with a massive, telegraphed, horizontal sword swing, which Zaidon obviously ducked. Hmph. Ducking to avoid a horizontal swing... All-too-predictable reaction. As soon as he straightened up, the White Gear plowed his knee into Zaidon's stomach with titanic force. The gear protruding from the robot's knee was driven all the way back into his spine, pinching a nerve that caused him to double over. He put the shield flat against the ground and used that (left) arm to support himself as he slammed both feet into Gear's chest while grabbing the spear and holding it. The robot flew backwards off of the spear and Zaidon stood up, wincing because his lumbar didn't feel so great. He ran over to Gear and swung the spear down at his grounded opponent. Gear blocked the blow with his sword and pulled the trigger causing its gears to spin. The sword, being very much like a chainsaw, chewed through the spear's wooden shaft like tree bark in a wood chipper.

Zaidon threw the now-useless piece of wood that had been a spear to the side and backed up, tripping and falling on his rump. He put his right hand on the ground to help himself stand up as Gear was also standing up. He noticed a visible look of terror on Zaidon's face, who was now backing up, and advanced confidently toward the man who no longer brandished a spear. As Gear moved forward, he began to shake badly when the ground became unstable. When Zaidon had put his hand on the ground, he had frozen it and covered it with a weak sheet of ice which crackled and burst under the robot's weight.

As soon as the opportunity presented itself, Zaidon threw the shield like giant steel frisbee while rushing forward. The shield hit Gear's left arm, knocking the Gear Sword out of his hand. Immediately Zaidon caught him with a palm-heel strike to his robot eye. The force of the strike combined with his heat-siphoning (siphoning heat out of something is how he freezes it) ability caused his optic lens to crack. Gear was now very visually impaired for the moment, and he heard the footsteps of Zaidon running around him. After a few seconds, Gear's computer produced an algorithm and applied it to his optic feed's programming to compensate for the crack in the lens. As soon as he looked he saw Zaidon... in his face... holding the Gear Sword with both hands.

Zaidon turned the weapon on and let him have it as hard as he could.

OoC: As far as the action while holding the shield, I believe you hold it by a strap on the back which does not completely eliminate the use of that hand. I may be wrong, though :/

Also, pwned Captain America-style :D

Man, this is way too well-written. I gotta remember that this is Red Lions where it doesn't have to be a grammatical supermodel...

The Metal Monstrosity stumbled backwards, then fell down some strange stairs into a Subway. For a moment, everything seemed to be good for Aidan--the monstrosity's head had been hideously dented, then violently exploded.

...Then, the ground rumbled beneath Aidan. He moved back... just in time for a massive hand to smash through the rotten concrete.

The ground rumbled as the metallic torso rose up from the ground, still smouldering from the exploding leg attack. The other arm ripped up through the concrete as well, as the Metal Monolith now hovered over Aidan, a bit closer thanks to his decision to use an underground subway tunnel to hold the other half, protecting it from attacks (seemingly.)

His face had a massive smash in the left eye and his neck a giant burning hole, but he did nothing but laugh ominously, gouts of flame jetting out of his neck-hole and missing Aidan only by millimeters.

"Your aim is true, but your strategy is nothing but slag! The same power that makes me dent allows me to take more damage... whereas you've already lost half your body to my fury! Too bad... I'm taking the other half now! BWA HA HA HA HA HAAAAAA!"

The evil laugh shattered hundreds of nearby windows, causing it to rain glass fragments on Aidan. Metal Man raised both his hands, making claw-like gestures with his still-functioning right hand. Then he swung his right hand at Aidan.

Aidan used his own knowledge and kicked it so hard a finger flew right off. Metal Man growled in an inhuman metal drone, and then countered by activating something in his left arm. An eerie blue flame flickered from the broken time device/acid flamethrower mess, as he cackled.

"Enough games for you! I'll melt you with the fires of TIME ITSELF! Your fire shenanigans can't control that! BURN!"

The Metal goliath swept the arena with a now giant plume of blue fire; all that it touched rapidly aged and disintegrated. Its large reach meant dodging it would be difficult, especially for the damage-ravaged Aidan. Metal Man swept it at Aidan, who dodged... but even that was not enough.

The mere presence of it had begun aging and disintegrating the outer parts of Aidan, slowly cursing him with pains of old age and dying without him even being touched by it. Aidan would duck as a mailbox where he was last standing would rust into nothing.

But Metal Man was not done. No. He was not going to just keep playing one-attack-monty until Aidan dodged them all and killed him. With another inhuman roar, Metal Man turned on his right hand, which turned into a massive fist. He slammed into the concrete, causing shockwaves that rippled into a building behind Aidan...

...And, somehow, launched all the office furniture inside at Aidan through the building's windows.

With office furniture coming from behind, and the fires of time from ahead, Aidan also had a third problem--Metal Man's smouldering, dented skull had lit up, and... then let out a third ear piercing screech... this one of the variety of indecipherable death metal screams.

A scream so powerful it began melting the pavement he was standing on, as well as trying to melt Aidan himself into slag!

The triple threat of attacks closed in, as the burnt, dented, left handless, giant-neck-holed goliath tried his best to obliterate Aidan--no matter how much precious energy he had to use!

Gear felt an incessant rolling and scratching on its head. The Gearsword was made of the same kind of gears as was on its inside. And you always want to make the outer covering of a machine tougher than the inside of it. So the alien steel that was its armor suffered significant scratches and cuts, but the proximity of Zaidon offered an opportunity.

As Zaidon was going through this futile maneuver, Gear Zaidon's left foot. It moved its feet-wheels in opposite directions at the same time, creating a perfectly circular spin. Zaidon flailed helplessly, his leg being incredibly strained. just as he felt as if his leg would pop off, Gear let go, hurling Zaidon at the topmost room of a tower, sending him through the wall and landing him in there. Gear noticed the tower was at a slight slant as a result of damage from the Oceansford battle. It took advantage of this by wheeling directly up the wall, and right up to the hole Zaidon's body had made. Gear curled up into its ball form, and using its built up momentum, rammed straight into Zaidon. This would have crushed him to death, had the wall behind him not already been weakened by his initial crash. Instead, the wall broke, and both fighters fell through the tower's wall and through 500 feet of air.

When they landed, Gear was okay; it had taken falls from miles and miles up high in a form like this and been safe. Zaidon, however, had some broken bones and felt numbed with the pain.

<You fight suprisingly well for one so unwilling. I commend you. And I will still kill you.>

Raising both arms (though the melted one was a difficulty), Gear's fists swung down and rammed themselves into Zaidon's chest. The robotic arms had the strength to crush boulders, except it was weakened by meltiness. It still made a huge impact, utterly shattering his ribs. However, Gear knew this wouldn't be fatal; It had already figured out the oddities of this being. A smashed chest would be quite a hindrance, though.

White Gear rolled away, towards where the Gearsword was dropped by Zaidon. But not successfully. By now, the hole Zaidon had left with the spear was causing a disruption. Some of the gears had gotten out of alignment with each other, making the movement of its legs shaky, sketchy and inefficient. It was more a combination of limping and sliding that Gear did to get to its fallen weapon.

By then, Zaidon had the strength regathered to shamble over to his opponent with the sword of a nearby dead soldier. Making a risky move, Zaidon shoved the sword into the hole he had made earlier, and superheated it. The gears in White Gear's abdomen were now covered with molten iron, which was about to cool quickly. soon its movements would be extremely impaired. But now that Zaidon was close, Gear grabbed him by the head and lifted him up.

<Clever. Effective. Inventive. Quite admirable, actually. But far too risky.>

Zaidon was, again, flung. But this time directly at the ground where he was previously standing. Gear knew it soon wouldn't be able to move its legs, so it kept Zaidon right where he would be easy to hit. And hit him it did, launching many forceful punches with the nonmelted arm all over his upper body. then came a pulse from the eye-diamond, and Zaidon was drivien further into the ground. By now, the iron in Gear's abdomen had solidified. movement would be difficult without some sort of modification there. this upped Gear's intensity, knowing that it would be quite vulnerable if Zaidon got agile.

Finally, Gear began to swing the Gearsword down upon Zaidon.

Sorry

OOC: I... I apologize, everyone-- especially Scripture, who is my current opponent, but I was very suddenly relocated to a new base on the other side of the world with no easy access to Internet yet. It has been harder than you might think, and just as I found somewhere to surf the Internet properly, this access is also not easy... so I will have to withdraw/accept disqualification until further notice.

I'm sorry that I did not notify anyone earlier, and it HURTS me that I can't partake in the famous Red Lions Tournament like I was planning to! This sucks, but circumstance was against me this time.

This really sucks. I'll try to come back as soon as possible-- after all, I can't be away from the Gunjin for *too* long. You guys are awesome. But for the time being, I will have to disappear for a bit. Scrip, if you wish to continue this battle in a non-tournament environment with no pressure, I will notify you when I return. I would be honored if you accepted.

Dude, I'm sorry to hear that. I was looking forward to reading what you and Scrip would come up with together. I'll have to watch for that battle if and when it happens.

As an official announcement, I'm giving this round until Wednesday. I should be able to find some sort of judge before then.
