OOC:Wish I had saved my post but atleast the hole topic or something like that didn't go.
The mast was fix in a matter of minutes as the survivors in the dingy's came aboard. It was a quick fix, not a permanent but it would work long enough.
"Lets go get our secret weapon boys, he's too fast for us to give chase.I wonder where he go those ships from?"GD ordered and asked to himself.
The Alpha Centauri set out on a 2 hour journey and reached an unmapped island.
"Demo, get on board the weapon and blow something up.Preferably not my ship." GD told Demo who had a grin on his face thinking back into their past.
Demo got aboard a smaller ship that was in dock on the island. The Alpha Centauri and the new ship sailed in the general direction that Joker's ships had been heading.

The sun slowly rose in the eastern skies, the early morning mist basking in its golden glow, as it slowly flowed over the island of Tortuga. Even as the sun still clambered over the horizon, the populace of the towns and villiages slowly drug themselves out of their beds as the rays peirced their windows. However, most of them noticed that something was amiss, and even as they watched, they noticed the looming cloud of smoke slowly be shilouetted by the now orange sky. They were unknowing as to waht had caused this phenomena.
Meanwhile, directly below the musky haze of smoke, a figure slowly strolled down the plaza of what had once been a cozy harbor settlement. He wore a grey shirt, spotted with stains from old battles and old spills. A smart blue coat was over this, old and worn by years of use. Its cufflinks still shone gold, however, as did the hilt of the blade that hung at his side, its red sheath studded with one large ruby at the center, within an ornate gold design that spanned both ends. At the other end of his belt, a second sword of similar design, save the fact that its colors were different; instead, a blue sheath hung there, with a silver design surrounding a blue sapphire. Though these weapons alone stood out from the figure, you could also spot the butts of two flintlock pistols, concealed within the jacket. His pant legs rustled in the wind as he strode over a corpse from the battle that had ensued here; a militia man lay against a destroyed fountain, a bit of shrapnel punched through his neck. He was still clutching his rifle, which had a ramrod jammed down the barrel, as well as some spilled gunpowder near his foot; he had died reloading his weapon. Many other bodies lay around the square, be they pirate or citizen; the figure moved on. He walked past broken structures, wounded enemies, and some civilians who fled at the sight of him; he paid none of it any heed, consent to walk through the remains of the city, as if searching for something.
He apperantly found it, as he stopped at a large two-story building, half-collapsed from a gunpowder explosion. He casually pushed open the front door, watching with slight amusement as it simply squealed, and fell off its hinges. A woman inside, presumably the proprietor, shrieked in suprise and ducked behind the counter. The pirate smiled, heading up the staircase and moving through the doors until he reached an empty doorway. The door, knocked over in the hall, read 'Room 13'. The pirate took a quick glance inside, saw what he was looking for, and snatched it up.
'Forgot my hat.'
Lucius grinned as he affixed the black captain's hat over his wild brown hair. It felt good to be the bad guy for once. Turning on his heel, the old brown boots scraping along the wooden floor. He strolled out of the room, down the stairs, and was about to leave when he heard the click of a flint being affixed to full-c0ck. He turned over his shoulder to spot the Innkeep, holding a rifle to her shoulder. Lucius gave slight smirk, prompting her to finish aiming and fire. However, faster than she could blink, Lucius leaned to the left, the shot smashing into the wall and flattening on impact. Lucius now grinned, and walked out the door.
He slowly made his way back to the port, where his crew was now waiting. He glanced up at the only ship left in the harbor as he descended the staircase down towards the docks; the others were either sunk or gone. The large vessel, the Aegis, was Lucius's ship. Her hull was a glowing light brown wood that seemed to bask in the sun, giving off a sheen that disguised her thick, strong hull, which earned her the name. As he reached the bottom stair, his second in command, Dominic, came up to him. He smiled, and nodded at the ship.
"Is she fully loaded?"
"Yes captain. We've repaired any damages from the battle, and our crew suffered minimal losses. We are at almost 100% efficiency." Lucius smiled again at that; he liked a well-kept ship.
"Good. Lets set off as soon as we can get untied," He remarked. This seemed to confuse his subordinate.
"Why, sir? Captain Joker told us to wait for him here."
Lucius grinned. "Because, the other towns are sure to investigate what has happened, and we dont want to lose any more people fighting off the entire island. Besides, we arent going to leave, just station off shore, around the island."
This settled Dominic, and soon, they had readied their ship and were sailing away from the island. Lucius himself stood aboard the upper decks, looking out over the deck and humming a tune absent mindedly.
"Yar. Tis' a good day ta be a pirate..."
