Will's vision was blurring fading, he was going to pass out. His eyes locked with the fox-like being he had been paired with and for a less then a split second he noticed the determination hidden deep within them. His body began to move on it's own accord as his mind traveled back in time to his youth to a vaugly wolf-like comrad and brother in arms whose eyes also held that same steely determination.
Useing the last of his strengthe, timing, and hand eye coordination his weapon of choice demanded will snapped his right wrist forword the fourty inches of braided burlap followd and struck the wrist holding the horrible axe, causing the weapon to be flung high into the air tword the far side or the ring.
As Taleth continued along the tragectory that Foxes' kick had set him on Will whispered one word aloud before he passed out. For whatever reason that word was carried by the air so that the two remaining competers heard it. "...Janus..."
Once he had said the name one that ment nothing to either Fox or Taleth Will passed out cold on the floor. with his body no longer fighting to stay away and be an active part of the match his energy turned to healing all the damege that had been inflickted upon him. If one looked closly they could see that the wide deep wound along his back was starting to knight together. Granted he would be out for a week to recooperate but it was still remarkible to see his body so activly working to repair itself.
OoC Sorry to drop out of a fight I started epsecily as it was a team match of sorts, but Will really couldn't have done much more after taking two hits like that. As for the name Janus was one of Will's closets friends who he had met not long affter gaining his unwanted immortality. Outliving his friends bothers Will greatly. Yet of all the friends and loved one he's out lasted the first three ment the most to him, witch is why seeing something of Janus in fox allowed will to gather enough energy for a final attack.

Taleth rose gracefully, and stood there for a moment. Straight and proud, a pillar of strength. Inside however, said pillar was cracked and broken. His axe was cast aside, not a problem, what was a problem was the process which had removed it. Even if he did retrieve his weapon, or drew another, it could not wield one properly with his arm out of it's socket. Hampering him more was his leg. The ice had numbed the pain, but in doing so had rendered it stiffer. He had a few moments more of use, and then his flesh would fail. He had a few tricks for then, he always did.
But first, he was using his leg while he still could. Then, he'd worry about what else he had up his sleeves. The weapon in his hand whispered a low soft song to him. A haunting song that could bend the mind of greater men then he. It hungered for blood. When the Bloodflute hungered, Taleth fed it.
The lord Dolumberist brought the bloodstained flute to him lips and played three notes. The he moved, his dance no longer being graceful, it was composed of speed, and only speed. Fox got out of the way, strange a weapon it might be, that flute was still sharp. Taleth threw the weapon instead of trying to go into melee, and Fox found it lodging into his leg. Stuck in the bone itself, that flute would not be removed easily.
The pain, and sudden constriction of the muscle, cause Fox to slip, and with his now waning enhanced speed the battle dancer easily grabbed the canine's throat and lifted him back up. He then squeezed and Fox shifted his attention to freeing himself. His claws hand scratched wildly at both face and arm drawing blood. Greater pain flared in his leg as Taleth placed his leg against the bloodflute. Fox's eye went wide as he fought axpheia and realized just what was about to happen. A time limit was about to be added to this fight.
Taleth kicked, he kicked with all his might and the flute tore itself out of fox just as the orange furred one freed himself and dashed away ready to counter attack, with a severely damage leg, bleeding. One more source of blood loss. One eye soaked in blood from the wound above it, Taleth smiled. His feet following a very familiar rhythm as he advanced barehanded. His limp only accentuated it more.
Tic, toc, tic, toc, tic, toc.

Fox had no time left. He was on alone. He barely knew Will, but trusted him. His trust was repayed. But Fox was again letting a chance slide by. He was even healed by Will. If only, he thought, Will had healed himself rather than..fight. Heal? Of course! Fox and Taleth forgot, Will had a tonic!
It wasn't over, yet. Fox took a breath, causing great pain and, with what energy he didn't have, as if borrowing energy and promising to repay it, he dashed. Faster than his foe he went & snatched the tonic.
He used the tonic, just barely putting him in any shape to defend himself. He grinned at his foe, yet even that hurt.

Ooc: By the flame, A month then two weeks... winter hibernation messed me up bad this year. Probably riff with mistakes to... but better get it out while I can.
Taleth sighed, and rolled his shoulders. Said motion did more then work a sore kink out of his good arm. His cloak tore apart in half down the middle. The halves rose to the sides, and split in twain once again. That was the cue for the wings to spread from his back. White as snow, and with a slight glow. The crimson cloth of his cloak matched the shape and soft movements of the feathery limbs.
Flap, flap, and Taleth hovered in the air a few inches off the ground. He took off his belt. The supple aged leather stretched once it left the now winged Taleth's waist. It became raw as it did so, toughening and hardening. Soon it was as much of a high quality belt, as it was a bull whip. He cracked it once over his head reveling in the sharp sound. Then, he danced once more.
Forward he danced, his pink slipper getting ever so close to the bloodied cardboard. Fox moved, he had already learned that when Taleth danced, it was never good for somebody. Will no longer being in the fight, that left Fox as that somebody. Taleth cracked his whip and sent it forward, much like a snake striking at prey.
Now normally, fox was fast, maybe fast enough to get away from the initial attack and counter. But fox was injured, and was just a bit to slow on that one step. The step which Taleth knew Fox would be slow on. After all, walking, running, dancing, his movements or others, one only had to follow the rhythm to know what came next.
The whip smacked into the side of the canine's neck and wrapped around. Once, twice, thrice and again. Taleth yanked back dropping Fox to his back and taking the wind out of him in the process. No snapped neck, a pity. The skippered one gathered the whip as he flew up. In a moment the orange furred space mammal's feet would no longer be on the ground. Strangulation was a slow death, but he had time. Fox did not as life slowly seeped out of him.

As Fox was rising to his death, he kicked against the ground, gaining a swinging motion, much like a pendelum. He used his center of gravity to enhance the motion.
Taleth was giving Fox a tough death, so he decided to repay the favor, at the cost of heightened and prolonged suffering. But it was well worth it.
Taleth seen the effort and abandoned the choking. In a most violent fashion.
Taleth gained altitude sharply and swung Fox with great force, sending him plummeting to the ground.
Fox landed harshly, using all arms and legs to evenly distribute the force. It shattered his right wrist and enhanced his injuries already sustained, but he lived, gasping for oxygen, gripping his throat gently.
He stood shaking. He had the whip-like weapon though, as a reminder to them both that he won that skirmish, if only in principal. And he had a new weapon, although he had no idea how to use it.

He did not even need to think. Taleth flew down. He did not simply fall, the six wings exercised all they're power to increase the speed and energy of his downwards journey. Knee first, he used his mass to full effect. This was far from the first time he used the simplistic, yet very effective strategy.
He had a gift for walking away from falls that would slay most men. None had he yet met that had such a gift for the reverse of surviving things falling on them. Which always put him at an advantage. An advantage that fox's body was not appreciative of as, still gasping for air, Taleth crashed into him.
The dancer rolled, and lept away as soon as the full brunt of the force had been transferred. He ignored his now limp and useless leg, broken in far to many places for comfort. He ignored the rest of his injuries as well, a useful talent developed in countless years of being injured and ignoring them. He hovered there, after all standing was impossible. He considered his options if the fox still breathed, either way he had a moment to focus through the pain.

Fox had lessened the blow by attempting to catch the meteor like attack, but reduced it by a nearly negligible ammount. He did still draw breath, he was even concious. However, he could not rise. All energy and health had abandoned him. He had no plans left...
Could he accept this? What option did he have. He coiled the whip and threw it at Taleth in anger, as hard as possible. It was much less a projectile as it was an unspoken attempt at forfeit; something in which Fox had little experience.
OoC: Uethanized. =P

He saw everything in the canine's eye. The emotion and thoughts to go with them. He had always been good at reading people, beast, and everything between and some beyond. More so however, he felt something deep within. The raw endless power denied to him. As if the floodgates in the dam that was his curse were opening. The ocean of power that the barest control of true song gave him was denied to him, yet now he had a trickle of it. The gods wanted this little one dead, quickly, and painlessly. Now The Song founder, Lord Bloodflute, Taleth Barksbane Dolumberist, Seeker of the True song, was not a pious man. But when you have stared the gods in the eyes and they stripped you of all words of your own, one learned to not piss them off and generally do as they wish. More importantly, his own desires were to end it while his wings lasted.
He opened his mouth, and sang. There were no words. Just pure, undiluted music. Music that filled Fox's ears, his head, his mind, his body, his soul. His suffering left him. No more pain, no more fatigue, everything felt right, there was only the beauty of the song. He did not noticed his broken ribs, his failing lungs, his shattered wrist. The song increased in intensity, and fox did not perceive the difference. He did not feel the blood seeping from his ears and nose as the vibrations saturated his body and began destroying his internal organs. He did not notice as blood dripped from his mouth, what was left of his lungs filled with blood, his bones shattered, and blood pored from every orifice. His heart stopped, and his brain liquefied.
He died. Never knowing anything but peace and the song.
Taleth stopped, and flew upwards and away, leaving behind the sound of disgust, vomiting, and fear from the spectators he left behind. After all, the mount of fur had made some rather disturbing sounds as it went from humanoid, to a shapeless lump.
