It's not about knowing people. It's about looking at what they did, and seeing who fits what best in your general opinion. Someone that seems to stand out for certain places. You can chuck out nearly anything, it's not the deciding votes yet.
My own nominee's will comes once I get enough time to think about it, been thundering and lightning a lot lately, constant half second power outages kill this stupid pc way to fast for me to take the chance.

Remember, this is *NOMINATIONS*. This is just deciding who gets a shot at which awards. You don't have to know a whole lot to say someone fits in the general category of an award (which is all you'd really need in order to nominate them). Yes, of course, if you think of someone who you're sure will win an award, you should nominate them for it, but otherwise just go for someone who stands out *to you* in a particular regard.
Up to 4 peoples' nominations so far, only one set is complete.
