You PMed me awhile ago asking for a battle, but I declined. However, I am now ready...

If you choose to accept this battle, you will choose the arena. I shall be using Phantom. We will follow traditional Gunjin rules: the whole, no-healing or OHKOs thing.

Let's make this a memorable one.

Wow.

Just wow. That was so long ago...

=\ I really wanted to use Halloween, for, y'know, Halloween. I never got to use him to his full potential, though.

Sure, I accept. I'll choose the Arena, and I'll use Halloween. I lost his bio, I'll have that up by tomorrow night, at the latest.

Heh, just thought yesterday, "Hey, I haven't had that battle I promised SK.".

I'll be waiting.

For reference, Phantom is on page 15 on the BoW. I'd link the exact post, but I really have no idea how. :\

(Sorry, I'm running behind. =\ I meant to post this earlier.)

Black Rose Cemetary:

By day, a normal Cemetary, by night, the shadows come out to dance. Tales of necromancers coming here to preform rituals, sacrificing animals, and other myths might seem like child's play to common townsfolke, but who would live to tell the tale? Anyone who's ever come here has never came back, but who would be the person responsable for that? Why, Halloween would. That's what he calls himself, and he is the guardian of the cemetary. It's most common for people to visit the place on Halloween night, and with a challenger approaching, it looks like Halloween might need to come out and play. A simple cemetary, with tombstones of various types lined up, and dead trees looming over. The highlight and signature of this cemetary is a large blooming rose head carved up in the center in stone, where it's said he rests.

(I don't have an official bio for Halloween, but here's a quick summary :)

Halloween:

Halloween is dressed up in a straight jacket and jeans, both made of black leather. Atop his shoulder rests a jack-o-lantern, carved with an evil smirk. Whether this goes over his head, or is his head, is unbeknownst to all. The pumpkin is particularly hard for a pumpkin, but no one has ever actually ever landed a heavy hit on it, so it's unknown whether it can break or not. A flowing purple cloak flows behind him, which goes down to his feet. Because of his awkward dress, he can't maneuver very well, however he can do so better than someone not accustomed to such attire. Because no one has ever lived to tell the tale of Halloween, most don't believe in him, and his past is completely shrouded in mystery. His powers, of course, are only revealed to those who go near him, who the vast majority of only get to see one of, before being silenced forever.

(This isn't very well written, but I figured I HAD to get this posted. I plan on making a cleaner written version later on, but I prefer to not have his powers posted for the meantime. I do hope we can finish this, too many go unfinished. I'm guilty of it, of course.)

Phantom tapped his feet together, and looked around impatiently. C'mon, so-called Halloween guy, where are ya? the reploid thought, playing with his katana a bit. I need a good challenge...Hopefully that story those townspeople told me was true.

He looked to the sky, and saw no clouds in the sky. The full moon was the only thing in the sky. Phantom had always liked the moon. Never once had it gave him away to others, like the sun had done many times...

(OoC: Just an intro, to set the stage.)

Phantom found himself wandering the cemetary, the shadows seeming to dance. Time was ticking away, and he knew he was going to appear.

Phantom had noticed a cloaked figure just sitting on top of the carved flower. He approached carefully, to glance up and see it had a pumpkin for a head. Just as quickly as he had noticed, it tumbled off on to the ground, and the body fell on it's side.

It wasn't a person at all.

Crack, crack, crack

Phantom's mind raced. He heard this sound vaguely out in the cemetary. It sounded like leaves cracking, something large stepping on them.

Crack, crack, crack

It repeated, slightly closer. He knew something was nearing, before the wind whispered these words in his ears.

"Happy Halloween."

He whisked around to the cold comfort of nothing being there. A twisted laugh began, that of a cold blooded killer. His voice was raspy, but not very deep.

Crack, crack, crack, as Phantom turned around once more to be greeted by an awful sight.

A man standing upright, roughly 5'11, in a black leather straight jacket. He had the head of a Jack-O-Lantern, with the eyes carved out. Peering through were two bloodthirsty eyes, gazing at him.

"Trick or Treat?" he uttered, as a cold wind blew by, almost freezing. Neither expressed any concern for it, but why would they? One was a Psycho, the other a Machine. Halloween snapped as fingers as a small explosion went off near Phantom, causing him to stagger backwards, but obviously not intended to cause damage.

"Finally, you came." Phantom stated simply, his gaze directed at Halloween. "I was beginning to think you weren't real."

The ninja reploid pulled a long, jagged, blood red katana from his back. At it's edge was a snow-white color: perhaps to point out it's most dangerous area? He pointed it at Halloween tauntingly, and waved it around playfully.

Phantom vanished, much to the surprise of his opponent. Halloween looked around the cemetery, to see if he could locate the reploid before an attack could be launched. A shurkien flew out of nowhere into his pumpkin "helmet", doing nothing but irritating the ghostly figure. That is, until it inexplicably exploded, sending the ghostly figure reeling back.

"Guess that pumpkin head is as tough as they said it was." Phantom stated calmly, appearing on top of a grave behind Halloween. "This will be a very fun fight."

He glanced at Phantom, saying nothing for a while. After a lingering silence, he finally burst into maniacal laughter. He crept his way over to Phantom, with his awkward composure, before screeching “Trick or Treat!” once more, as three small jack-o-lanterns flew out of nowhere toward Phantom.

In a showy display, Phantom would leap up into the air, and dispatch them all with three kunai, stopping them in their tracks, and causing them to explode instantaneously, but as he fell, one would come from behind and latch onto his back, as it self-destructed. With no more than one abrupt yell, he'd drop back down and arrange his composure.

Somehow the very Jack-O-Lantern atop Halloween's shoulders shifted emotion as he grinned in a large, creepy fashion. With this expression he would inquire, as if it were the only thing he could say, “Trick or Treat?”

(OoC: Sorry, I'm feeling creatively drained lately. I can't say this match will be top-notch, but I will try my best and will reply as often as I can.)

"Jeez, can't you say anything else?" Phantom questioned Halloween, as many kunais appeared in his fist. "Maybe I should teach you some words. Repeat after me, 'Hello, I am a creepy guy with a pumpkin for a head.'"

Halloween simply laughed.

"Well, I tried." and with that, Phantom skillfully aimed the many kunais he was holding at Halloween. Most of the ninja weaponry got trapped in Halloween's pumpkin head. He slowly pulled each one out, while keeping his sinister smilie. Then, he realized Phantom had disappeared.

A katana's blade blasted through Halloween's right arm suddenly, and the pumpkin's expression transformed slightly, to express the sudden pain. The blade pulled out, and Phantom, armed with his katana, reappeared before the ghastly fighter.
