okay, I'm really pissed off about this and I'm f@$#ing tired of it! lately I've noticed on here that some people like to controll opposing characters actions to the point where it's rediculous. I can't stand having someone else controll my character. I mean I miss posting ONCE in the free for all and almost everyone started treating my character as if he were a F$@#ing NPC! seriously, :wtf: ?!

here's a piece of advice to all gunjin goers, if you don't know how your opponent's character acts inside and out, then don't try to take controll of them in your posts, and to me, it feels disrespectful for someone to take contoll of one of my characters that I've spent weeks, or years in Inferno's case, develloping and not asking me "how would he/she react in this situaton" through a pm and just make **** up.

I spent almost 2 months coming up with Koji Miyamoto, his back story, his behavior, where his character is going to go as far as devellopment goes. In Inferno's case, as well as all affiliated characters that go with Inferno, it took me 3 years to get them just right story wise and another 4 develloping their characters on here and on paper. and it just feels like an insult to have someone take controll of that character that I've spent so much work on without asking me "okay how would he do this?" or "how would he act when this happened?" or "would he say something like this?" and I'd just be repeating myself if I said it upsets me when people aren't considerate enough to just ask those questions before controlling one of my characters.

You're taking this too serious. It's not like I made you a wuss.

I made a good representation if I do say so myself.

oh, ok.

Just know that sometimes, it's needed.

I'll try to ask people before I roleplay more than I should.

I honestly believe it is best left to a skilled writer who is an moderately skilled judge of character to take total control of a character. The ability to see exactly how that person's character would react is a rare gift indeed, but several around here seem to have it.

Inversely, it goes without saying that you should try hard to make your character expressive and unique. That gives your opponent a good idea of the character's behavioral patterns and makes his or her job easier. I apologize if one incident has thrown you into a rage (as, it seems, always happens in your case), but you must understand that this forum is less robotic than, say, that infernal KAF. You have the right to control the actions of another character to an small extent if you believe yourself to understand the character to the necessary degree. Some people even get a kick out of other writers giving their impression in their posts.

Even so, it is somewhat unacceptable to, without permission, take total control of a character of someone else's during the whole of your post. After all, you have your own character. I do not know all of the details here, since I just got back for a bit, but I see this may have already been resolved.

One must also allow their poorly done roleplaying to effect you. Truthfully I was hung up on this once, but now I am free.

I await the chance to horrify someone foolish enough to try this against me again.

Anyone who poorly portrays another persons character in a manner that is not agreeable with the creator is breaking one of the oldest rules of the Battlefield. Secondly, proper action should be taken by which I mean the person responsible for writing the character poorly should be banned from making/writing out any action on behalf of that character for the remainder of the fight. All reply’s denoting action or attack made against that character is acceptable as long as that characters reaction to the attack is left open to the creator.

My two cents on the matter :headbang:
