OoC: Seriously, I didn’t forget about this again. Just been helluva busy =/
Anyway, here ye go…

The door shuddered as one hard boot firmly smashed into the center of it’s frame, splinters of wood arcing away as a single thin crack spread up outwards from the point of impact. Raising his foot again, Luigi gave the door a second hard kick, the lock driving out of it’s frame, the door swinging open wide, hitting the wall and swaying, moments before falling off one hinge. Lucius cocked an eyebrow at Luigi, who merely grinned at his handiwork and stepped into the following room.

The rest of the group followed him, entering a rather cluttered workspace. The room, which had previously been a living room, had been altered to be used as an odd conglomerate of workbenches and computer systems. As they looked around, a barely visible shadow lurked in the background, and slowly moved towards a back room.

A single snap was heard as the figure accidentally stepped on a pencil, tossed aside a smattering of technical drawings. Lucius quickly turned, the figure rising up and trying to stumble away. Lucius nearly laughed at the figure’s disorientation.

”I take it that you are Garroth Hughes?” Lucius said to the slightly bemused scientist, who slowly rose up and glanced around.
”You take it right. And I take it that you aren’t one of those men who have been trying to assassinate me all afternoon,” Garroth replied, a tinge of sarcasm on the edge of his voice. Lucius glanced back towards the pile of corpses that were just out of sight around the doorway. “You might say that,” he said, with equal sarcasm.

The scientist glanced around. “Well then, maybe you can explain why I’ve been targeted by every mercenary on this planet,” he grumbled, picking up an old brown hat that had fallen somewhere behind a gaudy plaid sofa and quickly slipping it over his grizzled hair. He was slightly old; not so much ‘crazy old man’ old, but at least 50. He wore a jacket similar to his hat, the brownish fabric creased and stained from age. Under that, he wore blue jeans and a black shirt; not exactly how Lucius had imagined the engineer, but he didn’t have a vid-file.

”Well, we’d love to explain,” Repster started, the fiery dragon taking a glance backwards to the empty doorway; police sirens could be heard in the distance. “But we’re kinda in a rush. So, if you wouldn’t mind hurrying, we can get going.”
The old man grunted, quickly reaching back and grabbing a datacube; rather like an advanced PDA. He quickly moved to a desktop computer, popping out the central memory drive and slipping it into the cube’s drive bay. Slipping it into a pocket, he turned back to the warriors and nodded.
Lucius arched an eyebrow. “What, that’s it?”
”I don’t really have much else than my work, sir-,“ the scientist started to explain.
”Not what I meant. You have no qualms about a bunch of guys with enough weapons to vaporize an army barging into your house and telling you to come with them, after being attacked by various compliments of soldiers, mercenaries, and thugs?”
”Nope.”
”Fair enough. Let’s go.”

-------------------------------------------------

They managed to slip down a fire escape, dropping the ladder and covering the scientist as he clambered down the old metal steps. They had moved out of the alley, and were quickly walking down the road, when they heard voices behind them.
”There they are!”
”Stop them!”
David glanced backwards first, and quickly spotted their foes; a horde of SWAT and uniformed police officers had been patrolling the back alleys, only to come out and spot the warriors.
The SWAT commander turned back to the uniformed cops: “Go! Get the others! We’ll hold them off!” he said quickly, as two of the cops turned and ran backwards, off down the alleyway. He turned back and, raising his heavy blast shield, formed a quick phalanx with the other troops; they raised their automatic weapons and opened fire…

OoC: An simple foe, but they are a tad smarter than the other guys, and have big ass shields.

After Luigi came around the corner and gave his "report" GD pullled out his two DU pistols, on his last clips.GD rolled out of the corner with blasts hitting the ground and wall sending bits of them all over the place. As he came to a stop GD opened up on full auto with his pistols. The soldiers without their shields exploded in flying body parts and organs getting blood all over the wall.Several of the shields went down and those people exploded with thousands of rounds of DU bullets zoomed into them and through them moving 1/4 the speed of light. Then it all stopped.
"Oh, crap" GD said as his guns ran out of ammo.He rolled back behind the building.
"I finished the ones without shields off Luigi, good job.I also took out a couple of the others." GD told the others as he pulled out a med kit to wrap Luigi's wound, not to mention his own wounds as blue blood showed up at his leg and two spots in his stomach.
