Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door
Well. I beat it.
******NOTE***********
Before I get started, I will do an overall review and then a chapter by chapter break down, I will try to keep Spoilers out, but there may be one or two, nothing to revealing, except for the final boss. The ratings are in decimal (.9= 9 out of 10, 1.0= 10 out of 10, etc.)
Overall Review:
Paper Mario 2 doesn't exactly begin where PM1 left off, which is a good thing in this way.
Peach finds a treasure map and wants Mario to help her find the treasure.
The gameplay is great, many twists and turns to the game here or there, but what I like is the dialogue of the game, a lot better exchanges (Mario STILL doesn't talk, but that's been his way, the silent treatment, it makes the games better). Even without that it's DEFENITLEY, worth the time and money, let me do a short breakdown before doing chapter reviews.
Gameplay- Rated .9
It's EXTREMELY fun, and entertaining, just the things you have to do are real fun, I can't exactly describe it but it pulls you in for more, and more.
Control- 1.0
There are NO flaws in control, I see none, they are absolutely perfect
StoryLine- .91
It's a great storyline, that keeps you entertained, and slightly confused (in a good way!) the basic plot remains, but the chapter plots may sometimes shift in a major way
Fun Factor- .98
I found myself playing this game an hour or so at a time, I usually don't play longer than 30-40 minutes. It's just like I've said, SO entertaining. The puzzles, and missions and all
Replay Value- .8
The ONLY set back, without the feature to continue playing after you beat the final boss, the replay value would be like a .4, but playing after the boss is something I know I've wanted to do in the RPGs so that when I play again, I wouldn't have to face Smithy everytime, or face Bowser everytime, or face Shadow Queen *************** everytime.
I may go and make a new file, but after that I won't see any point.
Overall Value: .97
Chapter by chapter breakdown to come later.
