This seemed like a good place to post this.

My brother and I are planning to put some of our extra money together and buy the system sometime soon. What games should we buy, which should we rent, and which should we stay 10 yards away from at all times?

Luigi's Mansion was a good game, but too short, and repeats itself three times. Rent it a few times before you decide.
Super Smash Brothers Melee is awsome. Better graphics, sound, gameplay, everything. You you only get one game, this would be it.
Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3 is also a good game, but it depends on what you thought of the other two, if you played them.
The NRA says \"Guns don\'t kill people, people kill people\"...but I think the gun helps. I don\'t think someone going around yelling \"BANG!\" is going to kill too many people.

Oh, and Super Monkey Ball is something to do when you're bored. The normal game isn't that fun, but the Mini Games are great. Another game you should rent before you decide to buy.

Terrible Games:
Haven't played any I've absolutely hated,but I didn't really like SSX Tricky
